Morning y'all! Rainy day here, trying not to complain because technically we needed the rain, but ugh. Off to the store and another busy day. Smooches y'all
Yup pretty much. I'll sleep much better once hers is torn down as well. As it is the anxiety has only settled a bit and seeing it multiple times a day is frustrating and sad. For them and for my own fears.
Afternoon y'all! Nothing exciting from this end. Waiting on the never ending paperwork and approval for the insurance. Waiting on a call back from a job. I have mixed feelings about going back to work right now but its a necessary evil. Maybe I'll finally be able to afford some clothes and shoes...
Afternoon y'all!
Thankfully our insurance is very good to us. Hubby's parents have it and have had to use it before and they were never dropped. As of right now I don't see us being dropped due to it not being our fault, or at least that's what the adjuster said when I asked about a raised...
True. I will be grumping at them all if its not getting anywhere soon though. This old house leaks bad enough in the winter, it will be worse with half the newer siding missing.
Turns out part of the draftiness is they never wrapped the house before putting the new siding on  so the...
I allowed our laptop to do the install last week. It was free if we did it now and would cost money later so I guess we are part of the trial run? So far haven't had too many issues with it except the new edge browser wouldn't work with certain sites. The whole "this site or plug in is not...
We did arrange for a place to stay during the tear down process. The place was just full of asbestos, lead paint, etc that I don't want the kids to be near. I know they'll tent the house but better safe than sorry
Oh and we definitely have a co alarm and change all batteries in smoke alarms. A few years ago our old furnace gave up the ghost but was still half running. The kids somehow didn't get sick but I was very sick and probably would've died if I hadn't got ahold of hubby to come turn it off. So that...
Yeah hubby is trained in the basics and can do outlet replacements etc but he doesn't mess with the big stuff. Thankfully our home's electrical, plumbing, etc was all updated in the 90s so I'm less freaked. Had the firemen been 3 minutes later (already took them 30 minutes from time of call...
Morning y'all.
My insurance agent told us that hers barely covered what she will need so it will be covered on ours and maybe a bit will be reimbursed by theirs.
Thanks for all the well wishes. It is an awful thing and I'm getting anxiety when I look at it so have been avoiding opening...
I've been using Google drive for resumes etc so will probably do the rest on that. It was always one of those "when I get to it" things, but now it'll be my priority next few weeks. I do almost all bill pay online anyway so thankfully most of the important stuff is already online. Technology is...
