Prohibitionist ALA calls for total tobacco use ban for US military

From removing cigarettes from our soldier's rations in 1975 to recently banning vaping in any indoor military facility, the slope will only get slippier.

St. Lawrence County (NY) legislature considers banning all tobacco use (including e-cigarettes) on county property, within 20 feet of entrances

The citizens of St. Lawrence County paid for those county-owned buildings. They should be the ones to decide if those buildings should allow vaping inside or within 20 feet.

    Ban on Internet Sales?

I will say that simply blaming one party or another for draconian anti-smoking/anti-vaping laws is pointless. Such legislation must generally be bipartisan in order to pass. Everyone thought that Indiana with a Republican/Libertarian-Leaning governor would NEVER sign a law banning smoking in...

Do people do that with cigarettes since it's illegal to sell cigarettes in the US via the Internet?

Vaportime: Mobile, AL New Store Just Sells Electronic Cigarettes | WKRG If someone's in the area, please go check them out and report back. They seem pretty legitimate. The shop I mean, not the doctor speaking in the video.

    University of Kentucky strikes again!

That entire FAQ section is a joke. People will smoke as their walking outdoors from class to class, in parking garages/lots, in bus shelters, and most certainly in their cars. And yes, they will be using chew, snus, and snuff not only in their on-campus residences but in class as well. Vapers...

Onondaga County (NY) Legislature to consider banning smoking (and e-cigarette use) within 50 feet of county bulding entrances and at parks

Didn´t mean to repost this. There have been some new comments in the last day, so I thought that it might be useful to see again.

Wayne Township (NJ) Council bans smoking and e-cigarette use at parks

I´m not surprised one bit. This is coming from progressive New Jersey, the only state in the country to ban vaping indoors. I´m still waiting for Calabasas, California to ban e-cigs outdoors (except in designated areas) like they did with analogs.

Abstinence-only prohibitionist to hold Tobacco Free Campuses: Promoting a Culture of Lies and Intolerance

Guys, according to the Smoke Report, which is a Youtube-based web show promoting smoker's rights and discussing smoker's issues, the Secretary of Health and Human Services did in fact bring up a White House-backed initiative to ban all smoking anywhere on college campuses, both public AND...

Canadian News jumps to the conclusion: because they are increasingly in convenience stores, youth must be using e-cigs.

"The electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, have been increasingly present in Quebec corner stores over the past year and are being seen as a possible gateway to smoking. The product makes steam similar to tobacco smoke." Wow. Just wow.

E-cig ban we can agree with

Personally, I don't see a problem with minors vaping from a health standpoint. My problem is that through people under 18 vaping will give off a bad image to anti-smoking, progressive zealots.

    Blu Cigs in Cable TV

Well E-Cigs don't contain tobacco, so I'm not surprised.

    Tobacco Free Florida

Well needless to say, they disapprove of vaping, but they wholeheartedly support and promote Big Pharma products like the patch and the gum. They even cited the September 2 report about vaping damaging your lungs.

    Selling to minors

Very few states ban sales to minors and even fewer localities ban sales to minors. However, some companies have asked their distributors that they ban sales to minors. I've been carded about 60% of the time (although Illinois and Indiana don't have laws pertaining to minors and e-cigs). Certain...

    Vaping in the outdoors?

Vaping outside is boring because I could just legally smoke outside. It's more enjoyable seeing the clouds of vapor indoors where I cannot smoke an analog.

Electronic Cigarettes Cause Damage to Lungs, Study Finds

I've confronted many Bloomberg editors and journalists on their obvious biases, and it doesn't surprise me that they would use junk science to encourage a more intrusive government (i.e. more regulation and more taxes on e-cigs).

How often do you see people out and about vaping?

I currently live in Indiana, and I've only seen two people vaping (both in the same place at the same time). I believe that they were husband and wife. It was in a restaurant that, until July 1, allowed smoking. Although they weren't smoking, another man in their party was smoking an analog. I...
