Outdated but you still may want to know

I agree. Don't vape in private, or stealth vape. It only makes you look suspicious, as if you were doing something wrong or illegal. Vape loud and proud, just don't cause a major distraction or interruption. Vape like you used to smoke before smoking was banned virtually everywhere indoors.

It's not just Carnival. Other cruise ships like Royal Caribbean are following suit.

Outdated but you still may want to know

Effective June 2011, Carnival cruise ships will only permit smoking in their jazz clubs, dance clubs, designated smoking areas of casinos, designated smoking areas of casino bars, and the outdoor starboard (right) side of the ship. Effective December 2011, all guest staterooms must be 100%...

Smoking/Vaping at Swimming Pools and other Aquatic Centers

I know that it is almost common law not to smoke analogs at the pool. People just don't do it. In the Northwest Suburbs, I can't think of any locality that has an ordinance banning smoking at the pool, although some individual aquatic centers and waterparks have banned smoking on their outdoor...

    Withdrawal?

I believe so. If you become addicted, or physical dependent, on nicotine, you will experience some sort of bodily symptoms after a prolonged period without nicotine. It doesn't matter if you smoke analogs or e-cigarettes. Personally, I've gone a couple weeks without vaping, and I've been fine...

    Any younger vapers?

I'm 19. I've never smoked before (not even cigars), but I took up vaping for 2 main reasons: 1)It keeps me from biting my nails (a very bad habit of mine) 2)It helps normalize e-cigarettes and sets an example for smokers, including one of my best friends, who are trying to quit analogs but have...

Just came back from a Trip via Airline..interesting observations (how to vape in public and NOT to vape)

From what I've heard, airports have been stricter about vaping than any other private establishment (bar, restaurant, or non-hospitality workplace). Airlines have flat out banned it. I don't think that stealth vaping is the answer though. The pilot and gate agent were obviously ignorant and...

    Casino Smokers!!

I thought that smoking was banned in casinos in 1998 in California? According to Wikipedia, only small workplaces in California can permit smoking (5 or fewer employees). Anyway, smoking is banned in casinos in Illinois, which is great for my grandmother. She used to smoke, and she hasn't been...

Am I vaping more than I used to smoke?

My friend, who smokes (I've been trying to get him to vape), "warned" me that I could end up vaping "too much" because there are no restrictions on vaping indoors. He worries that I will get over-exposed to nicotine since I can basically vape anywhere whenever I want. I'm going to see him in a...

Create a Comprehensive List of Vaping Legislation

Boston has also banned vaping in restaurants, bars, and non-hospitality workplaces.

almost bought a pack of stinks today

I saw Newports being sold for $7.72 WITHOUT tax at a gas station in Palatine the other day. Marlboro and Winston are less, but they are still expensive.

I hate to be a ex-smoker snob but..

My neighbor used to smoke. She only smoked in the laundry room away from her two girls; the twins even put "No Smoking" signs on their bedroom doors. I indirectly helped her to finally quit on May 15, 2008. However, even when she smoked, my mother, who grew up with two smoking parents and hated...

Create a Comprehensive List of Vaping Legislation

We need to have a list which explains which states, counties, and localities have banned vaping in certain public areas (both indoor and outdoor) AND which ones have banned e-cigarette purchase and possession by minors. Let me start. Please add to the list if you don't see something here...

    Most Embarrassing Analog Moments,,,,,,,

Smoking in the car is very inconvenient now. There are no more ashtrays built into the doors of new cars, so you either have to bring your own ashtray OR flick it out the window, which as you all know can cause serious problems.

    Do You Vape at Work?

I work mostly out of the house now, so I could vape at home, but I rarely do. I enjoy vaping in places where smoking is prohibited because it helps to "normalize" e-cigs in indoor public places. I've seldomly been to the office this year, and I haven't vaped in there yet. That's because I've...

You two should petition the hospital to allow vaping.

Why few TV commercials about E-Cigs?

I wish that there were more "generic" e-cig ads with talking points like "you can smoke it anywhere" or "save thousands when you switch to vaping" or "no smell, no secondhand smoke."

    $7.00/pack

I just saw Newport for $7.72. However, that's a "high end" cigarette compared to Winston or Marlboro.

    CigAlectric Disposables

I bought one of these today at the gas station. It was a little more expensive than 21st Century, and it had more of a menthol taste as opposed to chocolate. I like it a lot better, and it has less nicotine than 21st Century (only 11 mg, not 16). Unfortunately, I get less puffs on the...

Why few TV commercials about E-Cigs?

I don't think that they are classified as tobacco products (yet), but the FDA is trying to regulate them as tobacco products.
