Another Reason to not Compare Vaping with Smoking

In my opinion, secondhand smoke is more appealing than say body odor or bad breath, but prolonged exposure seems to bother me now more than ever before. I also used to be able to handle thirdhand smoke very well. Now, I hate it.

Another Reason to not Compare Vaping with Smoking

I'm sure that this has been brought up in varying detail, but I'd like to reiterate some things. I went to an outdoor festival with my friends and family that not only permitted smoking but had dozens of ashtrays scattered throughout the eating areas and bingo tent. I decided to play bingo...

    Vaping in front of Smokers

AMR: Making Every Gallon Count This is the article. It was American Airlines and the approximate savings were actually $40,000 NOT $400,000.

Out of curiosity, who invented vaping nicotine??

He better get the nobel prize. He deserves more credit than any other inventor in modern time.

    Vaping in front of Smokers

Personally, I think that the airlines stopped serving peanuts in order to save money not to prevent allergic reactions from passengers. Back in 1987, one airline removed an olive from each dinner salad, and it saved $400,000 per year. I can't imagine how much money they're saving from not...

Why few TV commercials about E-Cigs?

Tobacco cigarettes used to advertise all the time before they were banned from advertising on TV's and radios in the U.S. in 1971. Why haven't e-cig companies advertised in the media yet? I'm sick and tired of these anti-smoking commercials with the guy and his amputated leg and the woman with...

NY May Pull E-Cigs Out Of Kids' Reach

What a joke. This woman is so adamant that the FDA is right about e-cigs that she's willing to dismiss a federal court case (which the FDA lost) and to put forth some bogus evidence about e-cigs containing antifreeze and other toxic chemicals. She also implies that e-cigs serve as a gateway to...

    Kitsap County "Ban"?

King County already banned vaping in public places.

    Vaping at Gas pumps..

The gas pump is the only place where I don't choose to vape. It's like one of those "yelling FIRE in a crowded theater" type of thing. I don't want to start a panic where everyone else thinks that the gas station is going to explode.

Ordinance to ban smoking and e-cig use in all workplaces to be introduced in South Bend, Indiana

If you're referring to the statewide ban which takes effect on July 1, that law prohibits smoking in restaurants. Indiana already passed a statewide law in 1993 that banned smoking in non-hospitality workplaces.

Unusual Throat Feeling, Doubt that it's the Desirable Hit

It's mostly gone now. I felt sick (cough/stomach ache) this morning, but those symptoms disappeared after a 2 hour nap. Now my throat just feels slightly dry. That's weird. I was almost certain that the e-cig I was using didn't contain PG.

Unusual Throat Feeling, Doubt that it's the Desirable Hit

I was vaping this morning at Starbucks while drinking an iced beverage. After chain vaping for more than half a hour, I got this burning sensation on the left side of my throat. I don't inhale (at least not advertently) so I was surprised by this pain. It lasted for a couple minutes. After that...

    Vaping in front of Smokers

Too bad that it's a statewide ban. Have you tried vaping indoors and have been asked to stop? I know that some counties and localities have banned vaping alongside tobacco smoking (King County, WA and Indianapolis, IN). If they banned it in my county, I would just drive 20 minutes south to vape...

Never been a smoker, but I love vaping

I'm one of them. I enjoy the physical sensation/oral fixation as well. I also vape to curb other habits like biting my nails. One of my biggest reasons for vaping though is to help non-smokers switch to e-cigarettes. I've talked with a couple smoker friends about vaping in hopes that it would...

    Vaping in front of Smokers

I did let a smoker take a puff on my e-cig because I knew the guy very well. I initiated a conversation about vaping with him because he was my friend. The only time that I vape outside is when I'm near a smoker in order to catalyze his or her interest in PV's. I obviously failed this time...

Travel and Vaping Air Travel and Airport Security

I don't know how long analog smoking has been banned inside O'Hare. Probably at least 20 years. But I remember flying once with a smoker from Chicago to Washington-Baltimore. Since there are no designated indoor smoking areas in the airport, he had to go a total of almost 4.5 hours without a...

    Vaping in front of Smokers

Do you guys vape in front of smokers? I generally don't, but I saw a smoker outside of a cafe yesterday. I had my e-cig with me, so as I walked up to the door, I decided to pull out my e-cig while he was facing my direction. By the time I went to take a puff however, he had already turned his...

Chef on Hell's Kitchen seen using electronic cigarette...

I have a friend who was in the restaurant industry and is now studying to become a gourmet chef. He smokes, and it's very difficult to find an area that allows smoking. They don't like that he returns to the kitchen smelling of burnt tobacco and tar either. I'm trying to get him to vape because...

    Question on restroom

When I'm in a restaurant, I vape and drink concurrently, so I've been having a lot more iced tea for example since I've started vaping.

Travel and Vaping Air Travel and Airport Security

All major U.S. airlines have banned vaping while in-flight. However, to my best knowledge, no individual airport has banned vaping indoors. Since they are private establishments, it's possible that they have their own rules and regulations regarding vaping. If so, I'm not aware of such rules and...
