Dont call them E-cig's or Electronic cigarettes!

illillillillilli (I pasted that -- lol) makes a good point: "vaporizer" is the device that, for example, Willie Nelson has said he uses for the herbals he used to combust--which are not the herbals we combusted, and apparently it's a somewhat different device. So, it might be said that this...

What Brand Analog Did You Quit???

I've wondered the same thing. One would have to be pretty old (like me--ha!) to remember the commercial pronunciation. And I guess today's budget priced Pall Malls are being bought by a lot of people way too young to remember that. (I've also heard a third pronunciation-- "Pal Mal.") "And you...

    Different Cartos, Different Fill Techniques?

Hi, Princess--I probably run a little less slushy than you would prescribe, only because months ago I ditched drip-tips and always vape open-ended with cartomizers. But I don't think I let things get horribly dry (drip-filling 3-4 drops when vapor starts to ebb), and at any rate I don't think...

    Different Cartos, Different Fill Techniques?

In the whole area of cartomizers, sometimes I feel like I've read too much advice... For the time being, I've settled into two different cartomizers for my two different PVs. For my 5V box mod, I'm using the standard resistance (can't remember the ohms) 808 Premium cartos from LitecigUSA--...

Dont call them E-cig's or Electronic cigarettes!

E-cig! E-cig! E-cig! (Can you tell I hate being told what not to do? ) Anything with "personal" in it rubs me the wrong way. "Personal banker," "personal masseuse" (as somebody else said), "personal moisturizer"-- they all sound too millennial generation for somebody my age...

I did not quit! I cut down and I am JAZZED about that!

I'm another who still smokes (very strictly 4-5 a day, down from 20+). I like the stability of where I am, and it's been over a year. I suspect, if I were to give up cigarettes completely in favor of e-cigarettes, any relapse might be a total "Screw vaping, I'm going to smoke!" situation, as...

    Accidents that worked?

I'm curious how many of the rest of us have discovered a product, technique, etc. by accident or mistake and found it worked really well for you. My examples: not long after starting to experiment with using cartomizers on my eGo, I inadvertently ordered a couple boxes of 808 cartos (the...

Vapor quite a bit more harsh on my throat than smoking?

I agree. More than any factor I can identify, I think it all comes down to getting acclimated. Early on, starting at mostly 18MG, my early morning lungs just didn't seem to welcome vapor. Eventually (maybe a couple weeks) and without any particular change in what I was doing, it became a...

    OFFICIAL - SMOKELESSIMAGE.com Thread

Thanks for the tip. Now I'm waiting for the present carto on my eGo to die (as I don't change flavors or swap cartos at all these days) for a better voltage fit. I will say that even though I haven't used that low a resistance on my 5V before, the flavor is not half bad. I'm not sure I'm...

    What was YOUR first purchase???

Ha! Mine too. One can certainly do worse. But I think my discovery of ECF and a Joye 510 from Cignot followed within weeks.

    OFFICIAL - SMOKELESSIMAGE.com Thread

I hope it's OK that I haven't read most of the first 2400(!) postings in this thread. My order of a couple boxes of blank Volt cartos came in a couple days ago, so I'm on day 2 of testing one out on my 5V box mod. I've been using Premium 808 cartos for some time, but just lately have...

Frustrating call from my "Quit Coach!"

I am currently in the process of buying (or not...) some life insurance. At my age (in my 50s) and with my nicotine status, the monthly premium for the amount of coverage the agent thinks I should buy would be a Mercedes Benz payment. I'm contentedly in a strict five cigarettes or less a day...

    Has this been responded to??

Mine, with thanks for the ideas: The piece on E-cigarettes reflects, in so many ways, some rather poor research and, I suspect, a strong preconceived bias against E-cigarette use. This is regrettable because e-cigarettes are proving to be a very effective way for many people to give up the far...

    Has this been responded to??

Wow--nice job, Dee. I too was struck by the 54mg figure--evidence that the writer was not well informed. That said, I think we have a fair number here who use 36mg (I do) and I've read postings here from one or two who actually do 48mg. But never 54! I'll probably add (haven't responded yet)...

I am afraid one of my electric hookah-doodles may have perished. Can it be resuscitated?

Seems to me that all the explanations suggesting inadequate mA don't cut it. After all, this was a hookah-doodle that lived a long enough life to deliver its happy (if confused) little old owner some weeks of vapor. An under-powered wall wart would fail from the get-go if the PT were...

    John Stewart Mocks Anti-smokers

Almost missed this. Thanks, Sheri. Without revealing too much about my politics, I will say that there are any number of Presidential contenders whose ideas and intelligence and sanity levels are unacceptable to me--but I'd vote for any of them to keep Michael Bloomberg out of the White House.

    Thread adapter advice sought...

When I'm being good, I stick them in an alcohol bath (it all evaporates quickly..) then blow through them. When I'm not (i.e., usually), I just clean the gunk off the end and the threads with a tissue or paper towel. That's what made me think about it today. Earlier, my box mod had total...

How many other's have you encountered vaping

Just lately I talked to a guy who travels a lot in Wisconsin, where smoking is banned in all hotel rooms, who uses his only as a work-around for that ban. I'll bet he's representative of a very significant portion--perhaps even a majority--of e-cigarette users.
