what did you smoke before you started vaping?

Marlboro Reds (King or 100s) a mainstay dating back to the "flip two quarters into the machine then walk away quickly" days of junior high in the 1960s. (I think M. Lights came out a couple years after I started smoking and I never liked them.) Flirtations over the years with Old Golds (anyone...

    Keep getting errors

It was doing it again this morning when I tried the My Posts search (which is always first on my ECF visit itinerary). Works again now.

    Best rebuildable clearo

I don't think it's specified anywhere on the page. Per advice of others, I used A-1 32 awg Kanthal and two or three strands from some #4 100% cotton yarn, boiled to get the sizing out of it.

    Best rebuildable clearo

It's silent, and here and there the work is a little bit out of the shot, but it helped me a lot.

FWIW, It's not just you. I just had the same thing happen.

    Best rebuildable clearo

My experiences are limited to just two: the Kanger T2 and the Vision V3 (a lower capacity, maybe 1.6ml clearo). I'm not really wild about the Vision as I've experienced some leakage. I'm pretty well settled with the T2, once some really annoying mouthpiece cracking/leaking problems were...

E-cig only? Or e-cig and cigarettes?

If you haven't already done so (since I see from your post count that you're new here), you might do well to do a forum search for threads with advice about good menthol e-juices. It seems to always be a big discussion topic, and I sense that menthol smokers have a harder time finding just the...

eGo 2.4ml CC CE4 Clearomizer- Thoughts and a flaw question

Sounds good, but I haven't had a problem with the tank portion of the clearo. It's the plastic portion of the mouthpiece I'm having problems with.

eGo 2.4ml CC CE4 Clearomizer- Thoughts and a flaw question

Bumping this old-ish thread... I too have run into cracking problems with these tips, but, even before that and very frequently, I've had a problem keeping the plastic part of the mouthpiece attached to the threaded metal part. I'll unscrew to refill and discover that the screw-on portion is...

What category do you fit in?

F here. (I really think there are many more still-smoker-vapers within and beyond ECF than these threads suggest.) I've been vaping since January 2010. I've smoked for well over 40 years, at peak 1.5 PAD--so just a heavy-ish smoker. My goal has never been to quit entirely, and I'm not one of...

E-cig only? Or e-cig and cigarettes?

I've been vaping for two and a half years and still smoke, more as a matter of pleasure than need. I smoke no more (and usually no fewer) than four Marlboro Red 100s a day--two early in the morning, two late at night. It's been well over a year since I've exceeded that limit of four even once...

    You mean like this???

Approaching perfection -- but too darn long!

Well of course I'm not claiming any of this to be rational--just my perception of reality, probably shaped to a certain degree by the era when I started smoking (mid-1960s, not long after 100s were introduced--and as I recall, taken up somewhat more enthusiastically by the female market, at...

Got Pulled Over by a Cop This Morning for Vaping (And introduction)

Seems like I've seen quite a number of threads over the years that ended with the officer asking questions and taking a personal interest because of his or her own nic habit. (I don't know whether the smoking rate among police officers in California is as high as it is elsewhere.) Many...

Approaching perfection -- but too darn long!

I tend to be a late adopter with almost every innovation that comes down the way, so it's only been in the last couple of weeks that an eGo Twist found its way to me. And then this weekend, my introduction to clearomizers (the rebuildable CE4 from Good Prophets) was in the mailbox. Combined, the...

Juice in the eyes...far worse than expected!

At least once, I've absentmindedly grabbed a tissue or napkin off the desk to wipe my eyes--before remembering I had used it to wipe e-liquid off something. I'm glad to say it's been a long time since I've done anything like that.

    Statement from Totally Wicked

I've been reading through all this with a sort of sick fascination, but thoroughly vicariously as I've never purchased anything from TW or looked in on UK Vapers. What fascinates me is what it suggests about the size and shape of the vaping world. It often occurs to me that, as huge a forum...

The words: Smoke, E-cig, etc need to go

These ideas are batted around here fairly often. How one comes down on it seems a matter of basic viewpoint. I think the reason we're all here has to do with the most smoking-like substitute for smoking that there is. I would think there is at least some psychological value for some people to...

    Cig-a-likes Do we need them?

Chalk up another here who started out with an auto-battery, mediocre, overpriced (but not as badly as some I've read about), cig-alike, pre-filled with not-so-great liquid. Just good enough to point out the potential. Even though I've moved on to bigger and better, I won't deny there is...
