    there is a lot of space in the large section of the tube. a rolled card will take up a little space. if the edges are not sharp, and you are careful no problem. If you are very careful,no problem. Venting from the top of the cell is already limited by the tight fitting upper section of the tube.

    That's odd. I've used protection boards with 26650 IMR cells. both the 6 amp one from BatterySpace and the 4 amp ones from DX.
