    guess mine are too big then since they absorb the heat instead of the coil mainly making the micro coils for my spheroids I'm gonna give this a try since my last pair of tweezers were too thin and cheap the heat has bent them almost beyond use. Earlier you had a pic and had said you went...

    Not sure it does look a lot like the 22mm. you are correct must be the thicker quartz. it indeed threads without the glass. guess the pro ring is useless with the new design bummer...wish I would have known.
