    I've been using the Texas Tuff Tank. Doesn't get any easier to refill than this does. Just take the screw from the fill hole on the side and use your needle tip cap to fill.

    You are definitely right there. As for cracking tanks...look for something pyrex or polypropylene. If you like a clearo then I would suggest the Kanger Protank.
