This is exactly the same issue that i am getting. My coil is at 0.5ohms, if i opens too little, cotton taste if too much flood. So i play around with tilt and juice control to lessen this issue. I am using 100% vg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I have experimented micro, tricro, diamond, nano and super nano till of course my finger tips skins starts to peel off. So far, i find dual micro with twisted ribbon and normal kanthal yield the best result. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

KFL will surely not be able to give you good chunk of vapor like dripper since it has limited air flow. Dripper, you can get a good chunk with 5second drag on 0.6-0.8 or specially if you do lung. But of course if you go 0.2-0.3, 2-3s is more than enough to give you mushroom. Juice wise, of... -

I do open mine 1-1.5 full turns when i vape, but i always close JGG air flow when i put it down, else getting over wicking issue. I cant seems to find a perfect juice control without it over wicking and flooding to the bottom of ithaka's collector section. -

Also you might want to try super nano coil, which means instead of using drill bit or needle, you use 28awg kanthal to wrap your coil around. This one will give you a good vapor but i still prefer using twisted ribbon and normal kanthal and threading the cotton through it as i personally feel... -

I think protected batteries are safer than our unprotected high drain, it has built in chip to protect from over discharging. At 0.8ohm, you should get a good amount of vapor, unless mushroom is what you looking for. You can try to lower the inner diameter of your coil or it could be your wick... -
