    just be careful with the pliers so that you do not destroy the threads. basically, what I'm saying is that the wick need to be straight. if the coil is down the wick will be bent upwards by the slits . hope that makes more sense :)

    The bottom coils are really good, but on some of them I noticed that the coil was set too low. This causes wicking issues. I pull all mine apart and rinse them off. After this I make sure that the coil is level with the slits on the center tube. This means that the wicks are level with the slits...
