That explains it. The ipv mini in PWM mode is truly giving you 6 watts. In DC mode it can only give full battery volts or higher. The iStick set at 3volts is really hitting at battery power. Maybe a touch more. The the ipv back into PWM mode. Then set it at 6 watts. If it's too weak, up... -

You haven't answered whether the ipv mini is in PWM or DC mode. There's is a huge difference. The ipv can actually run much lower then the iStick. It's been proven. -

The istick does not fire at 3V. My fluke at work also shows 3V, but oscilloscope shows different. Lowest it goes is 4V. The ipv mini for sure fires at 3V and even lower, as long as it's in PWM mode. -

Your requirement of 3volt and a 1.5 ohm coild is 6 watts. The ipv mini in pwm mode can regulate down to 5watts. I'm not seeing a problem here? It would be an issue if you have it in DC-DC mode because then it will not down regulate at all. It should be fine in PWM mode. -

It's supposed to let air escape while you tighten so you don't build unwanted pressure causing it to leak/flood. -

I haven't tried to get a new top cap from my seller yet. However I did grind out a flat spot on mine. Used a bench grinding wheel to make a flat spot followed by a deburring wheel to smooth it. Screws in smoothly. Hopefully it works well. -

I must say it does move rather quick from full to empty. Mine will go all day without moving at all. Then the next day I notice it drops over the course or 4 or 5 hours from full to empty. -

I think that is how DNA boards do it I believe. The battery meter only updates when you fire it. Mine showed empty after 2 hours charging. After attaching an atomizer and firing it, it went straight to full. -

With temp turned on, that is correct. It only shows the base resistance and should not change very much at all. We were talking about what happens if you set temp to off. It will treat a nickel build just like a kanthal build. You will get to see voltage applied as well as how much resistance...- dimo

That is correct. And if you fire it. You can actually see how much the resistance actually changes on the fly due to heat of the coil. You'll also see the voltage output fluctuating so it can maintain the wattage you set.- dimo

Yep. On mine it floods it. The JC fully closed isn't strong enough on mine to hold the pressure. -

Mine gets warm too show using a 2a charger (to make full use of zip charging). Not worried about it, these batteries can take it. They can handle up to 4A charge. I think the zip charge is like 2A (that's what vaporshark recommends). -

Mine shows a full charge for a really long time. I believe this is by design. I have a multimeter at home so I did some tests today. My battery meter doesn't even start moving until battery is around 3.7-3.6 volts. I believe in the cutoff is like 2.75 volts according to evolv for the dna40...
