    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

Your definition of warm vape may be different than the next guy. My brother in law vapes his atlantis at 35watts and considers it cool to warm. I try it and it scorches my mouth and lungs. Way too hot. If you have similar taste buds as him, I fear you'll never get a warm vape using ni200. The...

    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

That's why guys like using thick gauge wire and multicoils to get the think warm dense clouds of vapor. I don't think temp control technology is quite there yet, because most people are resorting to thinner wire like 30 and 28g to get the require ohms in range for the dna board. Too see if...

    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

Don't get too hung up about running high watts. You can get a satisfiying vape from much less. When you see threads with those running high watts, they usually using much thicker wire (which needs more watts to get hot), multiple coils (2 or 3 or 4), so some combination of both in addition to...

    DNA 40, NR, Nickel Builds

35, even 25 watts is way overpower for a single coil 30g wire setup, that's why you are hitting the temp limit so fast. I use slightly thicker wire (28g) with temp set at 430 and when I limit the airflow for mouth to lung hits I can only run it 13-15watts, hitting temp limit only at the very...

    Kayfun LITE - Part 2

Could be. I did spaced wraps by hand to try and keep them closer together than how it would end up with a screw. It's very possible a coil may be slightly touching another. I tried my best to inspect it as good as possible before wicking it. The ohms came out comparable with my drippers so I...

    Kayfun LITE - Part 2

Anyone build a nickel coil in their kayfuns? I gave it a shot today. 28g, 9 wraps around 3/33 drill bit. Spaced wraps and came out to .10 ohm. Set the temp to 440 and 13w. About half way through the draw it drops to 9-10watt on the screen. Vapor a tad weak. Either I did something wrong or...

    Traveling with e-cigs.

Never had a problem flying withe vape gear. Liquids follow standard liquid rules on your carry on. Devices i usually have empty because all mine are tanks and pressure sensitive. They will leak on take off and landing. If I keep one full I pull it out of my cary on when I get on the plane and...

Passing on older vape gear. Lests hear about it.

I just gave away an ego charger and ego twist I had lying around to a guy at work who had just dropped and broke his and was short on cash. Hand it over and told him Merry Christmas. I give juices I buy and don't like away all the time. Never throw it out.

    Curious about Watts and Ohms

I do 1.4 ohm coils with 28g kanthal around a 3/32 drill bit (8 wraps) and run it at 13w. Outstanding vape.

Sweet Spot for Single Wire Kayfun Like RBA.

I like using 28g kanthal and doing 8 wraps around a 3/32 drill bit. Comes out to about 1.4 ohms and run it at 13watts. I run it with no afc screw. Wicks and tastes great. Been running it like that for almost a year on my kayfun lite plus.

Questions About APVs - RDA Building

Your 15watt zmax will be fine with, for example, 10amp batteries. Newer higher powered devices that are 30watt+, stick with the 30amp batteries. 30watt is 30watt. It doesn't matter what ohms your atty is. High wattage devices need high amp batteries. Whether its mechanical or regulated.

Questions About APVs - RDA Building

24 and 26 gauge no matter how many wraps normally require more than 15W to heat up in a reasonable time frame, due to the thickness and mass of the wire. On mods like the zmax you should be ok with thiner 28 or 30 awg wire. On my magma I build a 1.4ohm coil (8 wraps, 28awg) around a 3/32 drill...

Hana dna 40 messed up from the get go?

You're right, it does. Didn't pay any attention to it. Mine works fine though. I was posting it in response to the post about requiring soldering to replace battery.
