    Hurricane Irma

Yep. Did that this morning. My generator has a petcock on the fuel line. I shut it off, and ran it until it stalled. I also always add stabilizer to the gas. Today's ethanol gas is terrible stuff.

    Hurricane Irma

We had a plan in place to leave. We had made reservations in Ga. We were going to take off early Saturday. But when the track shifted west, we saw no point in evacuating to an area where the storm was headed. So we stayed home and rode it out.

That's why, when we lose power, the first thing I do is fire up the generator, and plug the fridge in. Not just for the food, but the nic stash. Priorities!

    Hurricane Irma

Good shape here in West Melbourne, Fl. Just some clean up. A couple sections of fence to replace. Power came back on around 11:30 last night. Still no cable, but it's progress. At least we have AC. Our generator at least kept the essentials running, like the refrigerator, a few lights, battery...

    Hurricane Irma

It has happened. On the scene reporters have been injured, in the past, by flying debris. I'm actually glad they do the coverage they do. I'm sure they're paid well, but they do a great job. But keep in mind, they have a support crew, that the average resident may not have. It's not just a...

It'll be back, and then some.

    Hurricane Irma

I don't see why we have to get a new tornado warning every half hour. That weather radio buzzer is driving me nuts! Why can't they just say 'Tornado warning in effect until further notice'?

    Hurricane Irma

Pretty bad here, off and on, in the West Melbourne-Palm Bay Area. Several tornado warnings. One has touched down in a Palm Bay mobile home park. 6 homes destroyed, but no casualties reported.

Which Is Your Favor Squonk BF Vape Box Mods? Why?

REOs, for me. I have 4 REO Grands, 2 P67s, and 6 Woodvils. But for my 'At home' vapes, I like my Pdib Li'l Pinches. I have 4 of them. I'm glad squonking has finally hit the mainstream. It's been around, on the fringes, for years. But for me, the recent trend of 3D boxes all seem to look pretty...

    Reo compatible RBAs

The Hadaly is a leaker design, for sure. It's a great flavor atty, and probably one of the easiest to set up. But one must be very careful not to over squonk, or tilt it much right after squonking.

Those who live in the path of Hurricane Erma

One of the cool things about metal REO squonkers. They can survive a complete dunking. In fact, some people put them in the dishwasher, to clean them. Not so with the wood mods, however. They will be packed up, and traveling with me, if we go.

Those who live in the path of Hurricane Erma

We're on the east coast of Fl, about half way up. Mid way between Jacksonville and Miami. We have plans to leave, either late Thursday, or Friday morning. We're watching the predicted track closely until then. Our dogs are our main concern. I'm not too worried about the sealed, unopened bottles...

    Reo compatible RBAs

I went through a phase where I was buying nearly every atty available that either was factory BF or converted. But after all that, I've pretty much settled on 3, for 99.9% of my vaping. Stumpy O-16 Hadaly The Stumpy gets the majority of my time. I still believe it's one of the best attys ever made.

Why do you like a mechanical mod ?

I always liken it to; Why do some guitar players prefer tube amps'? Or why do some car enthusiasts prefer manual transmissions? I dunno. For me, there's just something pure about it, as opposed to being artificially created. But, to each their own.

Why do you like a mechanical mod ?

Mechanicals are all I've ever used, except for my brief Provari phase a few years ago. I don't currently own a regulated mod, and have no intention of getting one. I like the simplicity and reliability of mech mods.

    REO Technical Issues/Shop Talk

Got me stumped. I have no idea. It's a pretty simple device, which just needs electrical continuity between + and -, as is true with any mechanical mod.

    Rebuildable Coil Life

I can't say I've ever 'had' to replace a coil. The only time I change coils is when I get an idea of something else I might want to try. I use 316L, but prior to that, I used to use Kanthal. I rewick frequently; every 10-15ml or so, depending on the juice. When I rewick, I lightly dry burn, with...

It is supposed to be there, yes, down inside the threaded connection, on the threads. But not up on the shoulder of the tube nipple, where it comes into contact with the strike plate.
  19. Rule62

    REO Technical Issues/Shop Talk

Very possibly that's the problem. Take the screwed tube nipple off, with a pair of needle nose pliers. Clean it, and the male threads on the 510 off real well, and reassemble. When using the teflon paste thread sealant, you just use a teeny tiny dot on the end of a toothpick. Because when you...

    REO Technical Issues/Shop Talk

I had a problem with one of mine, when I converted it to the spring loaded button. I used just a tad too much thread sealant on the 510, where the tube nipple screws on to; and some excess got in between the strike plate and the connection. So, it wouldn't fire. I took it back apart, cleaned the...
