    REO Technical Issues/Shop Talk

Yes, the trick to good performance with squonkers is in the wicking. It differs from conventional dripping in that you don't need your wick to be a reservoir to hold extra juice. Conventional drippers use the wicks to hold juice, so that they don't have to drip as often, and can get more pulls...

    REO Technical Issues/Shop Talk

That's about the only way you can do it. When I've had to reinstall magnets, a couple times, I mark them with just a dot with a Sharpie marker, to be sure I have the polarity right, before super gluing them in.

What bad hardware have you bought ?

It wasn't really even a clone. It only bore faint resemblance to the authentic DID. But there weren't a lot of genesis RBAs around at the time.

What bad hardware have you bought ?

The authentic DID was a good genny. Well machined, and fairly easy to build, as mesh gennys go. I still have a couple of them in a box, somewhere. But the DIDalike was a pain. If you could get a good build on it, there wasn't a genny you couldn't build.

What bad hardware have you bought ?

I have enough stuff boxed away to start my own vaping museum. Stuff that I thought was the greatest at the time. CE2s alone went through 4 or 5 upgrades, getting them to not leak, or more accurately, leak less. I probably have unopened boxes of each version. As far as mods, I always used tube...

What bad hardware have you bought ?

It would be hard for me to answer. I've never bought a piece of gear that I thought was a mistake at the time. Plus, many things I've bought were things that I thought were pretty good at the time; but looking back in the rear view mirror, today they look pretty sad. But that's where technology...

I dare you...shows us how crazy you went at FT

I've never ordered a thing from FT. Been vaping about 6 1/2 years.

@Spydro Good to see ya, ol' buddy!

How many mods and tanks do you own ?

I have about 15 mech squonkers. Probably another 15 tube mechs that I haven't used in ages. But they look nice on the shelf. No regulated mods.

    If you couldn't vape anymore

I'll be honest. I'd probably smoke. I know myself well enough to know how addictive my personality is, especially when it comes to self destructive behaviors. It's why I don't drink, ever. And that was a struggle, many years ago. Vaping is a lifeline, for me. I have rid myself of other...

    Ummmm....yeah.....

Not even going to look. Two things I can't stand: Listening to Rip Trippers talk (I won't even watch his vape videos), and Rap.

Why doesn't BT jump on board?

I agree. Speaking for myself, I'm no where near the 'hobby vaper' I was 3 or 4 years ago. I've found what works for me, and do whatever minimal work I need to in order to maintain.

Why doesn't BT jump on board?

I think BT is just hedging their bets. I think they would really prefer it if vaping never completely overtakes traditional smoking. But they have their toe in the water, just in case it does.

Vaping in the hotel room. Lesson learned

The place was a madhouse. Never saw anything quite like it, except for people camped outside of Best Buy for Black Friday.

Vaping in the hotel room. Lesson learned

In early April, I spent 2 days in Atlanta airport, due to Delta's monumental fiasco. There were thousands of people sleeping on the floors all over the place, due to hundreds of cancelled flights. I was a regular in that bar/restaurant; and I don't even drink. Finally, I was lucky enough to...

Why doesn't BT jump on board?

It would be hard not to know what's out there, when there's a vape shop on practically every street. In my town, they're all over the place. Maybe too many. I just think some people want something very simple, that works, don't want to do a lot of research, and want a form factor similar to smoking.

Why doesn't BT jump on board?

Cigalikes do work, for many people. The people that buy and use them aren't the 'hobbyist' vapers that many of us on forums like ECF are. We hobbyists sometimes tend to get a skewed view of what a vaper is. There are many people who vape, and have successfully quit smoking, without making a...

Vaping in the hotel room. Lesson learned

The smoking rooms at Atlanta are nasty. But the up escalator lounge in Concourse A isn't bad. They have a smoking section, and decent food. A little pricey though.

    Rob sold REO?

I've been squonking exclusively for quite a while. I don't own a regulated squonker; and have no intention of buying one. There's lots of us mech squonkers out there. You just don't see us much, hanging out in vape shops, looking for the 'mod of the month'.

    Rob sold REO?

Rob has always prided himself on excellent customer service, along with a virtually 'bullet proof' product. His foray into regulated REOs was short lived. I don't think he was fond of the idea of having to service a device that he didn't manufacture in the first place, like the boards and chips...
