When I do a dry burn, I disassemble the head down to the main coiled wick, leaving it in as if normal operation. (Cap off, flavor wick out, etc). Put it on a VV if you have one, and turn it all the way down, and pulse it (no more than 3 seconds at a time, too long and it will potentially pop...- Fenris4024

Never had the issue myself (at least not on any top coils Clearos... Protanks... that's another story)... check and make sure the silicone cover is all the way down on the head, that's the biggest culprit, I'd assume, as it sounds like the liquid is dripping into the air channel. Well, as to the life of these little guys, depending on juices (of course), I'd say they have a solid lifespan... Just checked my stash of Java... I wouldn't say its "clear" but the juices do darken over time... its certainly not as dark as any other coffee vape though.
