Ren here, noob from Montreal.
Yesterday when I saw the first few posts of this thread I wondered as well why this Canadian forum would be in english only while Canada was a bilingual country, but with the explanation given - about the mods having problems regulating french posts - is fair and...
I'll do my best to bring back this thread on topic. About the user-friendly/marketing side of the discussion, shockabsorber said this on page 5 and I disagree:
I don't know about you guys, but I find it a little turn off to be in front of a website that won't let me check out their product...
This is a rant, maybe, but it does raise some important questions.
I have a quick newbie question related to what X P3 Flight Engineer just posted: How does the market/industry look like in regulated Countries? Do we have some great examples to follow?
Thank you shockabsorber. I came back from work and read the posts I missed. I wanted to respond to Albertbert's constructive comments but I think you did better than I would have. The only thing I would add to reply to Albertbert's opinion is that I didn't see any Jugheads bashing either. What I...
Hello X P3 Flight Engineer. Thank you again for the list the other day. I hope my thread about the current state of the canadian e-liquid industry haven't been too much coming from a newbie. I'm asking you because I don't want to stir .... if this subject has been discussed before in the same...
The fact that this business is dubious because of Health Canada's stupidity is not, in my point of view, a reason not to change. I understand that the idea of regulating the nicotine qty is something that might give some trouble to some vendors. I understand that this business is fragile...
One of the vendor I contacted explained to me that most e-cig websites are not making their own juice - they are re-seller - and that "they choose to use the suppliers images and descriptions in order not to confuse the customer".
None of us would be happy to buy the same product twice without...
Also, I did get a lot of emails from suppliers that told me they are uneasy discussing the business of their competitors on the forum. They would all like to participate, to the debate, but that this is not "their" place (vendors) for discussing the issue - it's "ours" (customers). This forum is...
I do not agree with you at all. Samyaa said
My intention, with this thread, is to keep our business alive here in Canada - and not to send people shopping overseas! It's the total opposite.
My opinion is that "If you don't like what you see" in the Canadian E-liquid business, try to change...
Just to put the record straight:
My opening post talked about the image/photo being a good marketing tool if vendors wants to attract newbies. That's what I meant. Like I said in that post, I am totally aware that a picture can sometimes have nothing to do with the actual taste - and same goes...
YES! This is it! I wasn't conscious before you mentioned it that this ritual is THE THING I've been missing the most! Thanks, and thanks to the ECF Canada as well :)
Hello all.
I'm Ren, from Montreal.
I'm new here. I discovered the world of Personal Vaporizers less than a week ago. I have discovered this forum right from the start and it helped me a lot understanding the terminology surrounding e-cigs and understanding the legislation problems here in...
Thanks, and yes they can be refilled. That was one option that was important in my device selection.
As you can see, mevap, you said something that even the veterans can confirm, like ctourtelot did. After 3 days of lurking on the forum, your opinion on small-sized e-cigs was the most similar...
Actually I am not kidding. 10 years ago it was inconceivable to even think about a e-cig! remember the future-cigarette from the movie The Fifth Element? That was as far as we could think.
Now all the possibilities are there to be developed. I, for my part, think that e-cigs will be more used...
This first post is a great post. I totally feel the same way as you do. I'm a noob and I just ordered the smallest device available right now (April 2012) - the Colibri nano.
Reading your post comforts me in my decision ;) Thank you!
Yeah so far it's all good. I must admit that I hope to get enough posts soon so I can ask my questions to the Canadian forum users: most of my noob questions are about regulations. Of course, while I wait... I try to learn and learn and learn...
You too!
I read your post and realize that I'm lucky to be in my position. I don't smoke anymore, it's been four months now since my last puffs - yeah I cheated - and 2 years and 4 months since I officially quit.
The stamps were not appealing to me. Gum, on the other hand, isn't that bad. But...
