Okay, figured something out with my P67 and thought I'd share in case anyone else was running into the same issue:
The positive contact is raised and the edges are rather sharp and pulling the battery straight out was starting to damage the wraps.
Easy fix- lock it, then take out the batt...
Yup, and if you don't think you'll be using 14mm atties much I think it's the best choice. You wanna look for the "UFO cup". Never done it before, but my understanding is that if it's a metal sunbox there isn't even any soldering needed.

Thanks again! Worked a charm; no more rattling lock switch!
I don't use the lock switch much, but when I do I'm really happy it's there.

Thanks. I was gonna break it down later today anyway because I only have the deoxit gold pen right now and I wanna lube up the contacts. Hopefully I can figure it out.

Got my P67 today! Loving it!
I'm sure it's been covered, but what is this piece and how do I keep it from rattling (if I can)
Thanks Reo friends!

Easiest way for me is to use Google Chrome w/ Google Translator extension. Make the browser do all the work for you :)

Maybe I should have been more specific, it didn't "need" a beauty ring. Or rather I don't honestly know anyway. I pretty much only use 14-18mm atties for for squonking and on any device with a 22mm catchcup I use a beauty ring. The only atty I screwed down on my Mokooo without a beauty ring was...
I absolutely never noticed any gaps on my Mokooo because I was always using a 16-18mm Atty with a beauty ring. If there was a gap the beauty ring took care of it.
