Lol! I work better with a debate :D
But navigator2011 had a good point - nicotine (in high enough doses) is toxic, it's highly addictive in cigarettes and may still be somewhat addictive in vapour.
None of us would want our kids to be saddled with a crippling, debilitating addiction and to...
Well, I agree that e-cigs are mostly likely to gain acceptance as a smoking cessation device (and when they do we'll be pressured to quit vaping because we're only supposed to be using these things to quit nicotine).
Re: nicotine - I'm no expert - and if there's people on here that know better...
Well, we shouldn't have to - vaping should be judged on its own merits (or lack of them) - allowing cigarette smoking to be brought into the argument for/against e-cigs is muddying the waters - yes, e-cigs are a wonderful option for smokers looking for a healthier option but taken on their own...
The point is, if someone - adult, child, smoker, non-smoker - chooses to vape nicotine (or not, 0mg) - in harmless amounts through a harmless device that's harmless to those around them - what's the uh... harm? :)
I think some vapers feel that the visual similarities between smoking and vaping...
And whilst cigarettes are still available for kids or adults to smoke (which they will be for a long, long time), having a less addictive, less harmful nicotine-containing product on the market won't be a gateway to smoking - cigarettes are the gateway to smoking - e-cigs are the gateway to a...
There's a post in the new member forums about non-smokers that have taken up vaping. For some vapers here that seems to be a taboo subject - they're concerned that any evidence that non-smokers are getting on to nicotine via vaping or (horror!) moving on from vaping to smoking is damaging to...
Please don't even joke about it! :D
If I had to choose between quitting coffee or quitting smoking/vaping I honestly don't think I could!!!
Only so many things you can remove before the machine breaks down :D
I did it after 3 days and made a point to go for a walk and throw away all my remaining tobacco, filter tips and papers. I figured I could just vape but so long as there was tobacco in the house I'd still have an analog if I really wanted one.
Now when I get the craving for a real ciggie (two...
The way I read this is that the OP confessed it was a selfish act on their part (to keep their kid away from tobacco smoke) but people seem to think he views smoking as selfish.
Regardless of anyone's personal intentions for persuading someone to switch to vaping, providing they can present the...
Note that on our own poll here - What level of nicotine keeps you off tobacco? - most of ECF's members use 24mg - the 2nd highest group is 18mg. Switching from cigs to e-cigs is going to be much harder for heavy smokers when these rules come into force. And anything that prevents helping smokers...
Not all of us have! Thx for taking the pics and enjoy your new PV! I have an eRoll coming in a couple of days so I'll be unboxing that just as excitedly :D
A long time ago I used to catch a train into work every day and on the platform would be two guys standing next to each other.
One of them looked in his late twenties/early thirties, the other slightly older. Every day, around 5 minutes before the train was due the older guy would pull out a...
No shame in the occasional slip-up :) even on past unsuccessful attempts to quit smoking (before I discovered e-cigs) I always gave myself credit for the ciggies I hadn't smoked - good luck!!
