Well, I am pretty sure my DNA40 board just went kaput on me.
I was vaping happily along when all of a sudden my screen decided to freak out on me(first time ever.) I reset it by removing the cap and it continued to work normally for another minute or so.
Then....it just stops doing anything...
A bad connection can lead to both an increase or decrease in resistance, although an increase is much more likely. It can cause an intermittent short, which will most likely lead to lower resistance(or infinite resistance, 0, in the case of a hard short)
Of course it can happen with other...
My experience with Ni200 is that because it's so soft, the post screws tend to loosen a bit after I use a new coil for a few minutes(does this on every RDA I have tried Ni200 with).
This has led to my resistance changing after a few minutes every time I build a new coil. Once I go back in and...
It's how I did mine, it's working just fine. It's easy to adjust, although I tend to keep the same atty on so no need.
Edit
I tighten the positive screw all the way down (without damaging the o-ring.)
When I need to adjust the length I loosen the ss nut on the end (so the washer with the...
It's a 6/32 tap(if you used a 6/32 screw as the positive pin), as outlined in here https://imgur.com/a/ouV6h
I used a #35 drill bit then the 6/32 tap I had on hand.
He is referring to the Cloupor T8 150 watt box.
Side note
Just over 4 months ago I was given about 3 feet of Sally's rayon, of which I gave half to my mom to try in her kayfun's.
I just now ran out of my 1.5ish feet. I always cut longer than I needed and just threw the extra away too(that or...
Just finished building my DNA40 bottom feeder. I am already in love with this thing.
I ended up using black RIT dye to color my parts, they came out blue. I am happy with how it came out though. I left the button, ring, and internals white then clear coated everything.
I only have a 5mp...
These types of things happen all the time, e-cig related or not. At least Evolv has been on top of correcting things right from the start.
Just look at the auto market. They frequently have defective parts that the maker knew about for years before saying anything, simply because they viewed it...
I just got my DNA printed parts from Sculpteo, amazing design gdeal! This thing is so tiny pictures don't do it justice. The amount of design detail you put into it really shows. Thank you for making it available to the public!
It looks like all my pieces are here, even though Sculpteo's...
I finally got my shipping notification for my GDNA printed parts from Sculpteo. Everything else is sitting here waiting for them. Unfortunately one of the parts was was restarted due to production issues.
Hopefully it wasn't the internals, but my gut tells me they have the highest likelihood of...
Not less dripping, but no dripping at all is what makes it better. You get all the benefits of running a dripper without any of the hassle of constantly needing to drip.
Any time you are unsure if your wick is wet enough you just give the bottle a squeeze. It fully saturates your wick then...
If it came in a bag and it is original packaging, then you might have bought the cotton IIRC. Does it say 100% rayon on it?
If it is either of these two then it is cotton. If it didn't come in a bag like these then disregard my post.
I only mention these two because people have been fooled...
Well, thank you for the test. I was going to use that exact dye to turn my parts black, but I don't want blue lol. I do like blue too though.
Did it turn out well, nice and uniform color? The pic makes it look like it has white specs all over the blue.
I was hoping to dye my parts black then...
Makes sense. DNA products from Evolv carry a 1 year limited warranty starting on the date of purchase. I wouldn't expect them to limit that warranty to only people that purchased the board solo, should apply to the board in a mod as well (as long as the maker of the mod is an authorized reseller).
Here is the build doc, the links for all the parts are in there.

I just ordered everything a few days ago myself. If you take the board out of the equation then I spent $194.03 on all the other parts required. If you add in the DNA 40...
This is what you said, and what I was originally quoting, "I guess, allowing more air cooling allows the coil stay hot longer before Temperature Limiter kicks in and shuts it down."
It has nothing to do with the coil staying hot longer and then shutting down, the coil only gets to your max temp...
^^^
Exactly as awsum just said.
The more air pulled through the more it cools the coil, the board then senses this cooling and bumps up the power to maintain your temp setting.
With the airflow closed down more, the coil will get hotter faster, in turn the board will lower the power to keep...
I just got off the phone with Mcmaster, they said this is normal. They ship your order out then generate the invoice that night and send the invoices all out the following day along with charging all the accounts.
They said they do it this way so they only have to process payments once per day...
The 0.16 ohm minimum resistance is for kanthal, the minimum resistance for ni200 is 0.1 ohm. It will fire below those minimums but be more sluggish.
Temp control does not kick in and shut the power down. It throttles the power back so your wire, and therefore your juice and wick also, won't...
I received an order confirmation from them the instant I placed my order, which showed the total for the parts but not the shipping. I expected to receive an invoice before they shipped, so I could pay, but still have not received anything.
I have a tracking number already and it has left...
