I have placed an order for the flat button and the flat cap over a month ago and I still haven't received them. I tried contacting them through their website over a week ago and still no response, if this is a "going out of business" sale, shouldn't the units already be made and ready to ship...
This is similar to my MISTer by VJ Mods and I found that you should only put the cotton approx half way down the vertical channel and it'll wick so much better. Hope that helps. Also remember, less is more.
I just started doing micro/cotton build and it is amazing!!
I noticed that there were some wicking issues since I got the full bundle with the PMAA tank and the bubbles got trapped at the bottom and I didn't see enough bubbles form so I knew it wasn't wicking well.
But then I saw a review...
I stopped using mine for a while when I got my Precise ELA... I found that the draw was still too airy. I have since used a 2.0 kenthal twisted wire and damn, I'm in love with it all over again!! This device is meant for some heavy duty wires... I don't even bother with the 18350 mode now...
Not anywhere near Oolong's set up but I like mine just fine... so far anyway :D
I tend to buy the cheaper clones but only after research and reviews from reputable people... but the real thing sure does look nice
I guess I know what you mean, just until I got this unit myself I was getting so frustrated with the Hercules (Ithaka clone by Rainbow) with it's resistance-non-resistance and so many parts that could come undone that I mentioned somewhere that I wished he would make an attachment for the bottom...
As far as I know you can't just buy the top section. Also, why would you? other than being telescopic (which are a dime a dozen) this device has everything!!
The firing button on mine very squeaky and would even get stuck sometimes, I took it apart and sanded it just a bit and it's now smooth.
I only got the hercules because todd said it was "bang on" (which he often does mind you lol) and because it would match my precise ELA better.
I bought some premade coils and found the non resistance hard to work with because of their length, made my own and found that it doesn't sit well...
I've been using the Hercules (Ithaka clone to be said is pretty good) and I stopped because I keep having to tighten one thing or another and every time I take it apart, I'm afraid something else if going to come lose. I just got the v3 with silver plating and I really love the single unit...
good to hear!! I also noticed that they sell upgraded stronger springs on the website, I wonder if batch #3 will come with these pre-installed... hmm... no one has complained about the force required to fire these so they can't be bad.
I can't wait to get my hands on one!!
I was thinking the opposite, vj mods should come up with a attachment for the atty so it can have a 510 to be used with other mods. I can't imaging it being too difficult as just needing an insulated pin in the middle and same threading on the side to connect to the base.
this would allow me...
After looking at more pics, looks like 18350 = reg tank
So I guess if I only need to buy the short tank and short mouth piece and I can also make 18350 with 3.5ml tank
So the tube and tank can be interchanged?
So if I get a 18350 tube = short tank?
Also, 18500 tube = reg tank?
Last question, where did you get yours from? And what options did they provide?
Thanks!!
Thanks for the offer, but if i can't order the unit with default PMMA I'll probably just order with it.
There are aluminium battery tubes available from their site also.
Thanks, I'm just waiting for them to get more in stock.
Anyone know what options I can choose when purchasing the standard bundle in regards to battery tube type and size and tank type and size (which would also mean suction tube).
Not sure, but I think SS is the only option as standard...
awesome setup!! I have a question, I can't quite tell from the pics (which might just answer my question) but I know the Ithaka is polished but the polished ELA is not super shiny, are they a bit different? would you say it's more brushed or polished (the ELA I mean).
the reason I ask is...
almost all genesis style are not pocket friendly. you would want to go with either a tank and/or odysseus style if you want pocket friendly. in regards to leaking into the battery, a simple fix and you never have to look back.
I still like it, I mainly use it at home and in the car only.
