PG is a double alcohol (diol)
VG is a multiple alcohol (polyol)
Basically sugar alcohols if I understand it right (and I doubt I do). They have a much lower calorie count than sugar though.
Bottom line: If it bothers you, don't do it. Bad to stress yourself out worrying about vaping indoors in public places.
