Guys I hate to be a buzzkill but PLEASE do not use the powerizer batteries in ANY mod that does not have built in protection. This includes the WOO. It could BLOW UP. I hate to be dramatic, but due to recent events, we cannot stess how potentially unsafe these batteries may be. Only use...
They are very good batteries. All of the testing I've seen shows they outperform AW IMRs by quite a bit., and they are safer when going thermal. Highly reccomend.
Its more noticeable in the higher ranges 5.2 and up, the difference in stated voltage and underload voltage. Not dogging your device whatsoever, but that was where the general problem areas were, as far as people being upset with the on screen voltage not being very accurate to the voltage...
If you buy six from Orbtronic you get a discount not sure how much. Either way there shipping was uber fast and free no matter how much you get so thats nice.
Edit: buy 2-4 for 5% off and 5-10 for 10% off.
I don't :( It was 20 or something for them, and a link was posted a WHILE back in the modders forum. If you posted a picture of the mod in there and asked if they knew the original source they would probably know. They know just about everything in there its kinda ridiculous.
When the lavatube came out, every thread was about how the Provari was crap compared to the lavatube. So it happened. Not denying that Provari users can be exactly the same way, it was just ridiculous to hear you say how no lavatube owner has ever said anything bad about the Provari.
Agreed. Just didn't want any misconceptions of IMR batteries out there. I use them exclusively in my mechanical mods, and I would MUCH prefer one of those going thermal to a Lithium, even protected.
No lie that mod you posted I remember looking at a online store that sold just those boxes. I was getting into modding at the time, and the thought occurred to me that they would make great box mods, and that I should make 'em and sell them. Forgot about it and about two months later they were...
These batteries are actually safer inside of unprotected mods then Protected Lithium batteries. They do not vent in the same manner, and are generally considered much safer in any pv.
I agree. I don't think I've said anything overboard. There was or still is a problem with the Lavatube regulating voltage as battery life is depleted. Maybe in all of the units, or maybe only some of them. It was enough that me and several other people no longer enjoyed them after a while. If...
I can't access this link but if you get the Panasonic labeled version it is the same thing, and I believe it is cheaper. They sell them at orbatronic or something like that.
