Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

You mean ya can't see all 50 Shades of Gray? I've always wondered why, in photography, 'middle gray' is actually 18% gray. My kids say my hair is turning gray. I say it's grey... more sophis-ti-cated. But if ya can't see colurz, wudnt ya kno it already? We all know firetrucks are red...

True, very true. But if one is just 'ok' with the taste and that's OK with them, then that's okay too. These days, I lean toward minimal (time, money, hassle). Doesn't matter to me if I have the latest shiny with a 0.01Ω guitar string dual coil or using...

After posting the above, I was curious just how long I've been quit. Consulted the app on my phone, and the numbers are getting pretty big!... esp. the $$ and cigs not smoked... it's been: 1363.6 days $10,500.35 not spent on cigs! 38,183 cigs not smoked! Amazing!

RY4 was too sweet for me. Like many others (except Gary ;)), I started vaping by looking for a tobacco-flavored juice that tasted like a M'bro Medium. Ran across a thread where someone said the higher the number on RY flavors, the sweeter the taste... so I got some Hangsen RY1 and used that...

Been running since Friday and only 32%?!?! I've never seen chkdsk take that long to finish... or maybe that's just because I don't have that kind of patience and stop it after a while. ;) Chkdsk can't fix corrupt Windows system files anyway. The recovery software I use when the File Allocation...

Ken, if that HD still spins up and, as you said, runs chkdsk... then your files are still on it, intact... and they can be copied off somehow. Even if it won't boot into Windoze.

I remember the Leading Edge model D! I really wanted one too - had some better features than the XT. I first met my wife 'on the job' too. The company she worked for called me to fix a crashed work PC - turned out to be hers. She was using Wordstar and Lotus 1-2-3 on a really small hard drive...

Looooved HD 3.5" FDDs - compared to 5.25 floppies that is! :D I knew a lot of folks and friends who had VIC-20s, Commodores, Ataris... I couldn't afford those, so My very first 'computer' was a Texas Instrument TI-99/4A on close-out at a JC Pennys for $50, then a Radio Shack Color Computer II...

My imagination isn't good enough to comprehend even the next 5 years, much less decades. ;) The pace of changes and 'improvements' seems to be accelerating exponentially. So much so that laws and regulations, and the average consumer, can't stay on top of the pace. Consider the as-yet unbridled...

??? Those were some huge drives 'back then'. My first PC was an XT clone w/ 10MB HDD (Tandy 1000) Around '85-'86 I started using AT clones - Kaypro 286i w/ a gigantic 20MB drive - after I went to work selling and building them for a company that sold Kaypro-based turn-key business...

Me too! Another good job Matt, looks great... and I esp. like your use of a cutoff on both sides of the job. I've found there are at least 3 things a home can't have too many of - outside water spigots, and electrical outlets and cutoffs inside and out!
