To a point, the older the better for me too. I have a '94 Lincoln Mk8 w/ 4.6 liter that my son and I refurbed that gets 28+ highway!
That booger will scat too!... Not so great from a dead start, but floor it at about 50-60mph - and hold on baby!
Yeah... I shouldn't have said 'complete' frontend job... shocks can get pretty spendy depending on brand, quality, and where you buy 'em... (and didn't know a Tahoe had struts) I was just talking about the linkage and bushings and whatnot.
Kenna, I'm sorry to say this but - hearing those details - that doesn't sound like an alignment thing, nor a brake thing. That sounds like worn out frontend parts, possibly tie rod ends but probably other parts too. I've always heard/read that if you're going to replace one frontend part, best...
I can see how it's easy to be an armchair quarterback, or an armchair political analyst - 'cause all your doin' is talking... but it's kinda hard to turn wrenches and get greasy sittin' in a Barcalounger:D
Kenna, whatever your problem is - I hope it turns out to be quick, easy, and cheap!
Oh...
It happened to me when I first got Percy a few years ago (my 1973 Chevy step-side pickup). Didn't seem feasible to me either at the time, but changing out the hose fixed it right up. And that's a high-pressure hose - it'll be quite a bit more than $5.
I'm a fan of Black Oak (does that count?) :D
I went to a BOA concert waaaaaay back when I was 18 (early 70s)... to say it was a very lively show don't even come close!
BTW, the part of the brake line I'm talking about is the 12-18 inches closest to the wheel, which is a rubber/braided hose. And you can't look at the hose and see whether it's collapsed or not. There is an inner rubber hose encased by an outer braided part. It's the inner part that collapses...
pizz on PC
I'm sick and tired of PC
I'm sick and tired of the feds
I'm sick and tired of politics
I'm sick and tired
I took all the news apps off my phone and tablet a little while ago... didn't watch the evening news, and don't plan to. Ever. Again.
We have two mental cases running for...
Kenna, it could be the brake hose on the front right side has collapsed - they do that sometimes. This makes the right brake lightly 'engage' all the time making the car pull to the right, then when you put on the brakes the right side doesn't move, but the left does... which makes it jerk...
Naw Honey - If it ain't one thing, it's everything!
Been one of those days for me... everything I touched turned to ****... everything!
If I had liquor in the house, I'd fix me a big ol stiff one... or three!
Oh yeah baybeee...
Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout Willis!!
I'm way past learning to fly a chopper, but I could be the navigator! - permanently stationed on that little 'boat' though - and just takin' the bird to town once a week for groceries, Bud Lime, and whatnot.
Good question... solar cell efficiency is up from ~12-15% not too many years ago to >20% now... and steadily climbing.
Kaezz, it's a matter of density - in other words, the overall size of the solar field vs how much energy it can produce. Smaller size field + more energy = better.
There...
Oh... well... then, if it's space your worried about - a helipad with attendant luxury chopper would save even more space. :thumb:
I thought you was talkin' bout gettin' a BIG island! :headbang:
Now that I've thought about it for a while, I realize - I can hardly wait 'til I get to that stage where everyone thinks I'm actually 'senile'... that'll help automatically explain away my various idiosyncrasies without me having to waste time verbally going into detail... and they can...
If ya decide to make one, let me know... somewhere, in some bag or box, at the bottom of a pile of other bags/boxes, I have a whole pile of those clips that hold together 30.06 ball rounds for a Browning BAR... (would you call that guitar a BAG? (Browning Automatic Geetar))
