P4U/ IPV3 150w Owners Discussion / A Place to Discuss Concerns and Performance of the IPV3

JB Weld fix seems to be working well. Screwed on both my Atlantis and Mutation X, pulled on them, unscrewed them, vaped them, etc. No weirdness with ohm readings/output as far as I can tell and the connection seems to be pretty darn solid. If yours pops out I'd recommend setting it down...

P4U/ IPV3 150w Owners Discussion / A Place to Discuss Concerns and Performance of the IPV3

Trying to fix it with some JB Weld epoxy. Gonna give it 24 hours and see if that does anything for it.

    IPV3 Loose 510 connection

Just tried the JB Weld fix on mine. Had some of the dual tube stuff in the tool box. Didn't realize it was rated to such a high temp. Painted it on around the underside of the connection that makes contact with the body with a toothpick. Not a lot of contact areas to apply it. Honestly, I'm not...

P4U/ IPV3 150w Owners Discussion / A Place to Discuss Concerns and Performance of the IPV3

Having the loose connection problem on my IPV3 as well. I think I'm just going to sell it at a heavy discount to someone who wants to tinker with it rather than dealing with the warranty process. The actual connection to the board still seems good (it still correctly reads the resistance, fires...

    IPV3 Loose 510 connection

I know this thread is a couple of weeks old, but was wondering what you ended up doing OP? Having the exact same issue myself. I can still snap the connector back into place and it still seems to work. Can anyone recommend someone who could do the Fat Daddy Vapes swap out on the 510 for...

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

That's true, but there's a reason I use mechanical mods that have properly insulated switches, batteries with safe chemistry and a much higher C rating than I need, and it's why I research what juice makers put in their juice as much as possible before I buy and then I stick with the ones I...

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

Thanks for the info on the cotton. Going to pick up some organic tomorrow. Getting a little off topic, but depending on your budget, I've had good luck with the Trident, Nimbus, and IGO rebuildables. Each one hits a different price point from high -> low.

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

Do you boil your organic cotton or just use it right out of the bag?

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

Well that's disturbing. Thinking I'll be switching out the sterile for organic. You'd like to think the sterile cotton being medical grade wouldn't be allowed to contain any sort of residual chemicals, but better safe than sorry.

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

Tried my hand at the micro for the first time. Not too bad, but definitely room for improvement. 7 wraps of 28g coming out to right around 1.0 - 1.1 Ω Not sure of diameter, just used the smallest precision screwdriver in my set to wrap. Been using it for a couple of days, re-wicked...

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

To follow up on my previous comments, I did boil about 12 cotton balls prior to re-wicking tonight. Boiled them for about 10 minutes, let them cool, squeezed the water out, hit them with a blow dryer on low for a couple of minutes, and then let them air dry the rest of the way. Kind of a lot of...

Cotton Wick - To boil or not to boil , that is the question.

I've been using the sterile cotton balls sold at CVS recently with good results. Says 100% cotton on the package. Also says they're surgical grade and hypo-allergenic. Figure there can't be too much in there. Don't boil and have good results. Might try boiling out of an abundance of caution...

Mechanical - To Kick or Not To Kick

The one kick I owned was finicky. There are many mechanical mods being made for use with a kick (like the bombshell stinger) which might provide more consistent results as far as the fit of the Kick, ensuring a solid ground, etc since they were designed with the Kick in mind. Personally I like...

Does the Zmax use both 2-18350's or 1-18650?

As mentioned it can use both. You should get and use the extended endcap to use 2x 18350's. For the most part in RMS mode (on V2) you will get similar performance in either configuration. Where the 18350's shine is dual coils on higher settings as it seems like the boost circuit for the...

Cheapest place to get a ZMax??

I know this thread is over 2 weeks old, but I thought I would update it since it's the first result on Google and ECF if you run any kind of cheapest ZMax search. Not sure if this is currently the cheapest, but I just ordered a gun metal Zmax V2 with the slits in it from Mad Vapes for $81.89...

    Just Lost a Friend :(

Just got back from the emergency vet a couple of hours ago. My 13 year old buddy Chopper had been sick for a couple of days and wasn't showing signs of improving. Turns out his kidneys were giving out and he would have had to gone through a 3 day hospital stay and a couple months of daily...

Want to start Dripping but need HELP

This my exact choice for equipment and vaping style. Works great and is very affordable. Here is how I'd rate the atty's I've tried in terms of Flavor, TH, and vapor on a scale of 1-10: 10 - HH357 LR 8 - Empire Mods 1.5ohm Bridgeless 510 7 - Smart Vapes 1.5ohm Dripping Atty's 5 - Joye 510 LR...

    Tired of wasting money

I started with an Ego setup. I tried dripping, cartos, Ego tank systems, mega ego cartos, clearos, and DC Tanks. None of it was amazing, but it was somewhat satisfying. Next I bought a VV box mod. From there my obsession spread. I think I've had over $2k of PVs and accessories pass through my...

Want to start Dripping but need HELP

As far as best bang for your buck, I've found the Empire Mods 1.5Ω 510 attys for 5.99 and the Smart Vapes Dripping 1.5Ω attys at 5.99 to be the best. HH357's are really nice if you have the budget for them as well. IMO the HH357's don't really deliver a better vape, but they will last longer and...
