Just ordered a mini for carrying around on a daily basis. The standard V2 is just a tad too big to carry comfortably for me. Hopefully the 18350 will get me through a full work day. Can't wait. Pretty sure between the mini and full size most of my other PVs will be collecting dust. -
Battery Concerns...I'm freaked out.
Use good batteries (I use AW IMR), a good charger (I use Pila), and a protected APV and your device will probably be as likely to explode or start a fire as your cell phone, laptop, or electric toothbrush (all of those devices have been documented to fail spectacularly though). Provari + Beach = Bliss
I usually upload my pics to a 3rd party service (in this case Photobucket) and then share it on various forums. It saves the forum bandwidth and storage space and it also allows you to easily share an image across multiple forums with only 1 upload. -

My Provari went up in smoke!
IMO it sounds like the IMR battery did exactly what it's supposed to do. It vented, but it didn't forcefully explode. If anything I think this is a positive real world case for 'safe chemistry' batteries. What if the failed battery had been a standard unprotected Li-ion or a protected Li-ion... -

I Broke my provari...
I just had to do this on mine. It took me literally 30 seconds with my leatherman pliers. I just put it in the pliers, lined it up, pressed down and turned. It's in there pretty solid now. No biggy.
