I have not been a fan of the kanger dual coils and only use single coils. I very quickly got in to rebuilding my coils for my kanger tanks and a single micro coil I think is far better than a stock coil. I am now building the coils vertical as everyone seems to be raving about the aspire BVC and...
If you love your emow try a re-build vertical coil it makes it even better

:toast:
You can build the vertical in the old style single coil heads. They are actually easier to do the chimney is easier to get off and you dont need the cotton sticking out the side slits. You can only use a 1.5mm drill bit though because anything bigger won;t go through the bottom pin but it works...
Again no experience with RBA/RDA but I do like the kanger tanks I currently have an emow mega and that is working great for me at the moment real good air flow control.
I build my own coils for it and building them vertical for me gives a great vape with lovely flavour and good clouds
For all those building micro coils Rip Tripper has a great video on You Tube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIoH-mOXKsc
This is where I learnt how to do it
Agree with all the above, it will take a bit of time to find exactly what suits your needs for now and those needs will change as you are away from the analogs for longer. Your vaping style will change, the flavours you like now may not satisfy in 3 months time.
And of course the ever growing...
Hi James,
It all depends on how you vape and if you have a dud coil or not. Some people can make them last weeks others only a day. I personally love the kanger tanks have a few PT2 and now I love the EMOW Mega sitting on my iStick looks great (see my profile pic :))
But and this is a big BUT...
If you like to re-build have a look at this thread I did about building vertical coils. Amazing vape in my opinion

Hi Dinger
Are you on about buying replacement coils for your PT2 ?
You can save a fortune and get a better vape if you re-build your coils and wick with cotton.
For a better BVC experiance I have found that if you re-build your coils vertical for your Kanger protanks etc if you use them then you get a perfect vape everytime
Have a look at the Micro coil building thread here this has lots of good advice on what gauge wire number of wraps etc
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/486794-protank-microcoil-discussion.html
Depends on what ohm coil you like?
I assume you are already building horizontal micro coil's ? Just use whatever gauage wire and number of wraps you use for a horizontal.
In my thread I first used a 1.5mm drill bit about 10 wraps of 28 gauge kanthal gives me about 1.6ohm coil but later on i...
Hi Shadix,
I upgraded to a new kanger EMOW Mega tank that uses the new enclosed dual coils and I rebuild them vertically similar to how you do the evod heads but no need to drill out for extra holes for wicking as these wick great.
Here is how I do it...
Try a vertical build coil in your PT 3 especially with the air flow control. It will blow your mind

Correct no cotton sticks out the cup slots and you need more cotton than you use in your horizontal build as it needs to be packed in nice and tight. Because the cotton wicks well it saturates fine and because the coil is vertical when you take a draw the air flows up through the coil and not...
Well done, it is a little trial and error on getting the amount of cotton correct.
If you want to challenge yourself further and after hearing on this forum how good the aspire BVC (bottom vertical coils) are I decided to try a vertical build. Well it is amazing vape.
Here is how I do it...
