Please keep in mind, she has only been using a DSLR camera and big lenses for 3 different outings, so she has a lot to learn. Personally, I think she is doing Great!

Thank you all very much! :) Those are all wild ducks on a little pond about 1.5 miles from my house. :) They have been pretty much staying on the pond year around now. Some are banded and some are not. Here is another photo I took today:

I went out on a photo shoot yesterday with my oldest Grand Daughter. We had fun setting up over 419 photos for her instructor. He is going to be selling his horse Fritz and he needed some photos for the sale ad. I hope he will be happy with the photos I took. :)

Thank you so much! :) My wife expressed an interest in learning photography and using a big Digital DSLR camera, so I have been taking her out on her days off so that I can get her comfortable with the camera settings, big lenses and photography. :)

I took the photo on 2/1/2012. He was about 60 feet up in a tree surrounded by hundreds of limbs, so I had to do a Major cropping to get rid of all the branches. :( I was also hand holding my 400 L on the side of a BUSY road to get the photo, so there was No Chance of...

I celebrated my birthday this year by buying an all terrain 4 wheeler.This is a picture of me playing with it in the back yard.

It's sad to see the state of disrepair that the old buildings are in. :( In it's hay day, the hospital was a working, pretty much self supporting Dairy Farm that was Always meticulously Maintained. The patients at the hospital all had jobs to do to help pay for their "keep"; unless of course...
I took an afternoon off from my wood shop to take a few photos. The drive took me about 8 miles away from my house to the old Northern State Mental Hospital that was closed down in the early 1970's.
