It was fun, and quite different from the others being made.
But the thing I like about buying a custom mod is working with the modmaker to come up with something new and experiment in new directions. Whether it comes out the best or kind of meh...its the process I love the most! :)
The process...
I had a dibi made of spectra ply, which is sort of a plywood. It came out wonderful and I used it exclusively for a year.
The way the different colors came through during shaping was really exciting.
It was my first custom mod and a lot of fun, but anything custom can have moments of stress...
Nope not asking about the bore size.
The base dimension would be the diameter at the widest part (aka the base)
So I can determine if this dt will hang over my attys or stir flush with the cap.
That is very cool, I'm going to hold out for the real thing however.
I'm a big fan of these hybrid blocks, pengs and the one with the copper specks and clear acrylic come to mind.
And then of course I think the asymmetrical mod will be tough to beat.
Should be in hand fairly soon:)
Thanks splat!
Hi Robin and welcome!
I get very different experiences from regulated to non-regulated devices.
I find an initial lower powered hit on mechanical mods vs the same full throttle hit every single time on a regulated device.
My REO however catches right up to the same vape as regulated in a couple...
Ok, so back to almost unusable, fragile, rare materials for making mods:)
I'm hoping for a resemblance or inspiration of this,
But in Vaughan Richards interpretation,
Toss some bone for a button and a shaped fencepost and I'll be in heaven:)
I'm in agreement with your post doffy, I like the single material, lower profile button and single caps.
The layered ones are pretty but I don't particularly like my presser sitting too proud.
If it were my pod block it would be bone caps and button. :)
Or perhaps bone bottom, pau shell top...
