I'm still using the original atomizer that came in the box I received about April 7th. I opened the pipe, charged it up and have had zero problems at all... It works like a charm and to quote Scott, "produces vapor like a burning tire." I still have a few in the boxes and extra parts... I guess...
Typically there is "primer" fluid in the atomizer, you may be tasting that; it will burn off. Most suppliers don't pre-charge the batteries. Throw em on the charger and let em charge. I usually let mine charge longer the first time (8-12 hours) and then just till the light turns green...

Anyone ever looked at fountain pen feeds? They supply a constant amount of liquid to the nib as it is dispensed to paper... Just a thought.

My new 401's seem to have the same thing. I have a bunch of EVO's from a while back to compare them too. they work the same, maybe better. Good vapor, throat hit... I've used 2 of the new design atomizer so far.
