    The coil height is definitely a crucial factor. I am liking mine almost touching the ceramic floor. I do not like a hot throat hit from a low res coil at ALL. Super low coil on the floor with a short cotton wick on a Reo is as perfect a combo as I have ever vaped.

    You do need holes in the cartos. I like the Boge standard resistance version with e single pre drilled hole and the Smoktek cartos with the 2 holes. The holes allow the liquid to wick.
