My Hcigar 3.1 works great on everything and gives me no grief. My Ehpro Russian I have to pay careful attention to with every build or I get the short issue. Eventually I'll put a delrin shim between the bases.
Your money, spend it as you see fit. Any vendor worth a look will appreciate the business you do give them. Lots a places to choose from out there and competition favors the buyer for now.
The Russian can be shorted by adjusting the screw without keeping the positive base in place. It will move and touch or barely touch the negative post and cause shorts and crazy readings. They really need to have the delrin insulator run up between the two.

Been there done that at the beginning of all of this, much simpler today.
The closest I've come is mixing MBV Black Clove, Vermont Vapors Clove and Marble City Vapors Barely Cloved. It is very close to a Djarum Black. I've tried a lot of clove juices(many claimed to be just like Djarums) and have found them all lacking.
The results with 1.5 only differ in wire gauge(no effect on safety). A 32 gauge will make less contact with the wick than a 28 gauge coil of the same ohms and heat up more(there are equations for this). So ohms aren't truly equal if wire size is different. I prefer the larger gauges for my coils...
I agree which is why we need the vets posting so misinformation doesn't become dogma and spread by honest folks improperly educated with said misinformation.

Okay contrary to everything my avatar stands for, I admit I started this thread to get more vets involved in the New Member Forum and to open some eyes to the fact the fight isn't just with the antz, we need to keep our own up to speed also.
I knew enough not to speak in absolutes or to "educate" other noobs before doing research myself. I spend a lot of time in the new members forum trying to help. Not being elitist, just venting and being a little pragmatic, but hey thanks for posting.
