Those coils don't always match up to what their supposed to be & all ohmmeters/multimeters have a tolerance percentage - meaning that the meter could be reading a little off what the true resistance is & still be... -

5.5v across a 1.8 ohm coil won't fire on any Provari. That's almost 17w. You'll hit the power limit at 2.09 ohms. Some may fire a little below that, but not at 1.8ohms. At 5.1v you can go down to 1.79 ohms before hitting the power limit. ETA: So your Provari is acting normally. For a 1.8... -

What ohms do you run your provari at..... Need some advice
I like low power. I get good flavor & long battery life between charges. I vape everything at 3.7v because I use the same toppers on my mechs & Provari's both. I'm usually in the neighborhood of a 2.2 ohm coil. -
