I agree. I refuse antibiotics when offered unless they do testing first. Thankfully I've not had to worry about that from any of my docs in a good long while. In the past 10 years, I've only taken antibiotics prophylactically due to having surgical procedures. Off to order Morgan a...- pringles13

To play devil's advocate, docs in the ER give antibiotics prophylactically in case there is something bacterial. If they did blood or urine cultures, those can take 24-48 hours to come back. If they're clean, they stop antibiotic therapy. If they come back positive, then at least they got a...- pringles13
