    I would suspect that liquid in the battery shorted it out. That's one of the reasons so many of us prefer manual batteries which are sealed from that problem.

    That was true for me. Mornings during the first 2 weeks I spit out a lot. 3rd week i was still spitting but it was clear and since week 4, I don't have the coughing and spitting out gunk. I smoked 35-40 analogs/day for about 45 yrs and my lungs are feeling great now.
