    There is a salt test for galvanized metal, I read about online. I'll try that. You dip the metal in 3 parts salt and one part water, let it sit for 24 hours. If it shows no change in color pattern and there is some rust, it's SS. If not it's galvanized. This is wire is supposed to be marine...
