I sanded down the switch contact and got to the brass, the switch post and head are one piece, so I assume it's all brass. Yay! I hope DV sells replacement switches if I screw it up.
Awesome! You did an amazing job on all of those mods, I assume you did the CCTS/KTS too. Do you know if the tube on your Segelei (I assume it's a #8?) is brass or aluminum? All of the descriptions I see say they will be made of one or the other. I want a brass model so that I can refinish the...
Here's a pic I found on the web of the Drawtube with AGA-T, I couldn't find one for the segelei. BTW, my DrawTube doesn't show threads when in 18650 mode.
Love my DrawTube! But it is not kickable for the same reason as the sigelei #8, the tube is too wide. I imagine a thin piece of copper could be formed in a circle and inserted to make up the difference.
The DrawTube has a SS body and all SS contacts, sigelei are brass. I tried to adjust my...
HUGE thumbs up to Lance from Steam Monkey who has already responded and sent me a return label. I played around some more and got one atty out of 12 to fit. As it turns out, the CCTS really isn't suited to using a drip shield anyway. If you don't use an adapter the drip shield is too short, and...
The CCTS arrived today, here are some pics with the DrawTube. First is 18350 mode, alone and with the igo-l (I put a satin finish on the DrawTube's igo). I used AW IMR button tops for all the pics.

I haven't tried my kick but shouldn't be a problem...
I have mech mods with bottom switches and mech mods with protruding pinky side switches. I prefer side switches because they keep devices from rolling if they fall over or are laid on their sides. You have a lot of excellent suggestions here, good luck with whatever you decide.
I stealth vape all over the place that smoking isn't allowed but hold the vapor in, never had a problem. I personally vape in airport and airplane bathrooms, haven't done it in my plane seat (yet).
Wherever smoking is allowed I blow clouds.
Yeah, I figured that wasn't under load. Plus they contradict themselves by saying SS contacts on the DrawTube aren't a problem, but bash the Natural in their review for only having one brass contact (pretty sure it has two, although under chrome plating). They also say the DrawTube switch has a...
SS is less conductive than brass, so will result in a drop of voltage delivered to an atomizer. According to this review, they tested it and the drop was only .01 volts, but who knows. I imagine some DrawTube owners on the forum have done some tests:

Hoosiervapes is out of the CCTS right now, I recently ordered one from Steam Monkey for $40, he shipped same day:
CCTS Telescopic Mechanical Mod
CCTS hasn't arrived yet but I absolutely LOVE my DrawTube. It does have SS contacts, though.
I used 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper and then a 3m polishing wheel that's probably about 1000 grit. Took 5 minutes and was just enough to take the bling off.
I beleive the OP is talking about this:

As for mechanical mods, for inexpensive I am loving my new DrawTube (about $50 shipped from Discount Vapers). Higher priced...
