To take the atomizer apart, you pry up the whole top plate that the spike is in. A small screwdriver works best. You stick it in one of the open spaces on either side of the spike plate and pry up a bit. Then stick it in the slot on the other side and pry up. I find it takes about two pries on...
I had the same trouble once or twice (with the liquid getting dark and thick) and I think it's caused by a poorly wicking atomizer. I've gotten a few duds before. Try swapping out the atty and see if that solves it.
You know, this happens to me periodically and I never knew it was a thing until I read your post. Then I did a search of "vaper's tongue" and, wow, apparently it's quite common! All this time, I thought it was some freaky problem that just happened to me
I've never had taste buds...
Same thing happens to me with my silver eRoll. I think it's just because Blu has been advertising so much that it's really the only type of ecig most people have heard of. They see a blue light and assume it's "Blu".
Oooo yes. It would be really helpful if the PCC had maybe a yellow light to indicate it was low — enough to charge one more eRoll before it has to be plugged in.
Have you ever used up your eRoll and reached over to swap it with the one in the charger only to realize you didn't properly seat the one in the charger so it wasn't actually charging? And then you had two dead eRolls and had to wait for one to charge?
Hate when that happens.
If the tank could be redesigned to hold a little bit more juice, that'd be awesome. But I wouldn't want to trade the existing size or the easy draw for increased capacity. I love this little thing!
The alcohol getting tinted is probably because I use a dark juice. If you use a light juice, I guess that wouldn't happen. As for the hole in the bottom, I do sometimes notice a smudge of liquid on the top of my battery when I pull the atomizer out, so I assume liquid can flow through if it's...
I've been doing something similar to what the OP describes and had pretty good success with it so far...
I soak the fully assembled atomizer in a dish of vodka for a while (until the vodka gets tinted), then use a blunt tip syringe to inject the vodka through the atty. The blunt tip syringe...
Ah, okay. I think I was expecting it to just pop right out and when it didn't, I assumed I was doing it wrong. Thanks for the tips! I'll have to give it another go and be more patient ;)
Are they really hard to take apart the first time or is there some trick to it that I may be missing? I've seen videos with people using little pliers to pull them apart or a small screwdriver or tweezers to pry them apart. I've tried both methods and can't get mine apart. Any advice?
What about trying SNUS? If there's something in tobacco that helps UC, that's be the safest form of tobacco to use (unless of course the tobacco really does have to be burning to be of help).
I'm sure you're already feeling much better by now, but for future reference, I'll answer the question. I've vaped through every cold and random viral ickiness I've had since I started vaping a few years ago. It didn't seem to have any impact on the length or severity of the sickness.
I've only been using a U-can for a few days and mine already leaked once. However, I think I know exactly why it leaked and it's easily preventable.
Here's what happened:
I'd opened it to check how low the liquid was, added liquid and screwed it back together. Within a few minutes of laying...
I assume the grooves were added to catch minor leaks (from an overfilled, cartridge, for example). I've only had my eroll for about two weeks, but I've not had any leaks with mine.
Here's a picture of one from a google search. You can see the notches/grooves in the charging slot at the points where the cartridge meets the cone and where the cone meets the battery.
It's a thin (PG), medium/dark juice (starts amber colored but gets darker over time). Thanks for the tip. I'll try putting the top on very slowly next time and see if that helps.
