Health problems ?? From vaping ??

The truly insidious aspect of this issue is that many, if not most, of the symptoms that people develop when they switch to vaping are actually caused by their quitting cigarettes. But since the absence of an activity is less notable in our subjective perception than the sudden appearance of a...

Vaping Myth: Inhaling anything other than fresh air is bad

From what I gather, the quoted viewpoint is both accurate and inaccurate. Even highly hostile analyses of firsthand vapor showed no cause for concern, according to Burstyn's study -- so on the one hand, your drawing a distinction between the ambient, polluted air in a city and the exhaust from...

Vaping Myth: Inhaling anything other than fresh air is bad

The Romans created and oversaw a thriving civilization in which most of the urban populations drank water from lead pipes for hundreds of years. :)

Power Delusion - Ego Twist vs. iTaste MVP

:toast: Anytime, man. Thanks for all the info you've given all of us. :) Yeah, I figured you knew all of that and more -- but the information isn't easily accessible, which is one of my little long-standing peeves about the youtube revolution. Video reviews certainly have their place (and...

Hate to bring up this issue AGAIN...

I think she's mostly interested in this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/348459-steeping-times-ultrasonic-cleaner-part-ii.html I gotta admit, the prospect of speed-steeping intrigues me too -- but I probably won't ever work up the interest to try it.

Power Delusion - Ego Twist vs. iTaste MVP

Are you sure your Twist is putting out 4.8 volts at 1.8 ohms? 'Cause PBusardo's chart seems to indicate that the Twist maxes out at 3.7 volts on a 1.5 ohm coil, which gives us ~2.5 amps and ~9.1 watts. Here's a screenshot the chart if you're curious. Just for fun, here's the oscilloscope...

Hate to bring up this issue AGAIN...

The top wick's there for a reason. A lot of people remove the so-called flavor wick (top wick) on various different types of clearomizers for a variety of reasons, but they often encounter leaking problems later, because one of the top wick's jobs is to soak up excess juice. I wouldn't mess...

Anyone else feel like Mt BakerVapor is just so- so?

Absolutely. But is there any good reason to believe that the "cook" of the more expensive e-juice has more ability or experience? The very reason I took issue with the restaurant analogy is that I agree with your sentiment: a Michelin-star chef is a vastly different beast from a fast-food...

Hate to bring up this issue AGAIN...

For what it's worth, I never touch the head assembly when washing. I just unscrew it, rinse, and throw the whole thing into vodka to soak for about an hour. If I've been using the head for awhile, I might very gently pull the wicks to one side or another to see if there's any lingering burn...

MBV doesn't pre-steep juices because they offer a crapton of customization options, which means that the only practical solution is to mix the juice to order. Whether that's a good or a bad thing is in the eye of the beholder. I appreciate your other thoughts, though. Well stated.

Your subjective preferences (perceptions) are not at issue. But you have implied that there are objective differences in the quality of various juices to justify their price differences. For that claim, there is little, if any, evidence. You wanna vape expensive juices? More power to you. I...

To require evidence before accepting a claim is only rational. To assert that higher prices constitute evidence of higher quality is naive.

~90% of every e-juice is comprised of PG and VG (and nicotine). That is universal. Everything else may or may not significantly alter the cost of the final product. Even if high-end flavorings cost 10 times more than generic flavorings, given the relevant quantities it's hard to imagine...
