    Be careful not to confuse or conflate cost (an amount that has to be paid or spent to buy or obtain something) and value (the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something).

    "FDA calculates the costs of lost enjoyment..."? I'm sorry, this makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. How do you attach a dollar value to a feeling, or lack thereof? I'm calling this FDA analysis specious and the emperor barenaked.
