No disrespect, but how many people frequent the Campaigning forum vs. how many regularly check the E-Smoking forum? IMO, this needs to achieve the widest audience possible. It risks getting lost even here in Media & General News... I wonder, if a thread were to be opened in General E-Smoking...
While I was smoking, I enjoyed a hefty bout of bronchitis almost every year, as well as frequent colds and, for the last 20+ years, frequent debilitating attacks of sinusitis. In the year and a half of vaping, the expected two episodes of bronchitis did not happen, nary a cold, and no incidents...
Interesting... In NY, home bars are being glamorized, while smoking at home is more and more being demonized and restricted. I'm referring to the increasing number of rental/coop/condo multi-unit buildings going smoke-free.
Think I'll incorporate designing the perfect in-home vaping lounge into...
:sigh: You've reminded me of many of the treks I was looking forward to, after years of research and planning, which I will now not make. Very sad. Ah well, moving on... New destinations to find, and advance planning is half the fun!
Let's remember that no one has really proven, scientifically and incontrovertably, what causes cancer. Some mechanisms of *how* cancer progresses are known, and correlations between certain things and cancer are known, but that's it. If smoking *caused* lung cancer, 100% of smokers would develop...
Just to clarify: My neighbor is behind vaping (not just *my* vaping) 100%. Her purpose in coming to me (as she has in the past) was to get a Vaper's Version of the story. But remember, she's quite elderly, and (bless her) not the best listener or retainor of data. That's why your post came to...
Aikanae1, your "sound bite" theory worked for me yesterday! My elderly neighbor (She supports my vaping. Her major source of news is fellow riders on our local bus service, that I call "Rumor Central.") came to ask if I'd heard about "all the children being poisoned by ecigs."
Remembering this...
It wasn't clear to me when I opened this thread that the law the judge referred to is one that was passed to prohibit candy and toy cigarettes or smoking "paraphernalia" (maybe to save the chiiiildren?). I haven't read the original law, but it seems to me an enterprising attorney could appeal...
Giving this a bump while preparing to tweet.
And THANK YOU, KenA, for posting misswish's update on her local situation. A real upper for me on an otherwise bleh day!
First saw this in a D Puddlecote blog post (his info via Aussie Vapers): http://dickpuddlecote.blogspot.com/2014/04/e-cigs-ruled-illegal-in-australia.html
If you're interested, here's the official WA court ruling...

I spent some time researching Burwell last night and couldn't find any info on where she stands on HHS-related issues. Remember she's a political appointment, so her politics will probably come into play more than her position on substantive issues.
What gives me an iota of hope is that she...
