Let me see if I can clear up some confusion here.
The ones on the left is the one I was using in the previous picture I posted. They are Stainless Steel Caps from Siam Mods + glass tank. You can only use cartos with them.
The one on the right, is the Cobra Repairable Atomizer. Completely...
It's not hard at all. I bought my first punch on valley view vapes. It's a good basic one, and it came with spare screws. Expect to waste a couple cartos getting to know how deep your punches go/how many holes for what liquid.
That's correct. The cartos are the "disposable" part of a cartotank setup. Much like the replaceable heads for a Vivi Nova, except that you can rebuild a Vivi Nova head if you wish. There's a rebuildable carto out there called the Killer 705, but I haven't had a chance to try it.
Yeah it should be. There's gonna be a variation from each head/carto. Boge carto LR is usually 2ohms +/- 0.2 or so. SR is around 3ohms. I pickup the 5pack (25 cartos total) deal from Surevapes for about $23 or so and that would last me some time. Just gotta make sure that the length will fit...
Should work fine with it. A tank is just a container for the liquid. As long as it doesn't crack/leak, it's done its job. The carto in the picture actually measured out at 2.4 ohms (even though it says LR on the wrapper), so I used it on a VV device since and run it at ~4.3V.
I bought that tank. I used the glass from a 5ml Cobra for XL carto (45mm) in the picture. Standard size carto(35mm) would fit in the shorter pyrex tube (3ml cobra glass, or other Siam Mods shorter tubes).
Edit: Protip: You can go to Phiniac.com and order customized Cobra glass tank too :)
Go to Menu setting 8 and pick RMS and leave it at that. I'd start at 8 watts and let your ZMAX figure out the voltage. Adjust up and down to taste. Should be a good time :)
If you venture out to the voltage setting, I usually run 2.8 at 5V and 2.4 at around 4.2-4.5V
"" tag around your first link does wonders.
The bOd by Leo mentioned in a couple posts above pictured with a 19mm XL IBTank. The bOd is a telescoping tube that takes 18350 to 18650 and everything in between (also takes care of the length variation between manufacturers/individual batteries)...
I'll always have a cartotank setup :) It's the most reliable out of everything I've tried. Press button, vape, put it back in my pocket. The Stealth just goes with everything! :D
Didn't even think about the Tobeco clone. I bought one, ended up donating the innards to a Terminator dripper that had shoddy innards. Good to know it can still donate more parts for my terminators.
Was playing around with this today. I have the earlier Gus tele with SS contacts. I reversed the battery so the button top is facing the bottom. No spring on top. This resulted in shorter throw, no misfires due to button anymore. Edit: Delrin insulator in place on the bottom button.
Obviously...
If it's a ZAP, most likely, something happened to your coil (bumped or what have you). I leave my PV in the car all the time (garaged most times home and work before you go OMG the heat and exploding batteries), especially the genesis type. I only carry the things I can pocket without leaks.
The one you linked look to be the same mouthpiece as the Term-C. You could contact SVC to ask for the length, but my first guess is likely to stand. What you could do, if you didn't want the plastic tank, is maybe get another metal tank piece? I think I saw it at SVC. If not, it'll work the same...
