    Filling Cartos - What am I doing wrong?

    I use a syringe for cartos. Draw 1 ml of liquid, and inject it into the filler material. Keep out of the center airhole. Never fails unless the carto is bad to begin with. ETA: Baditude has a great point about keeping the carto topped up and moist.

    Just to add. No Resistance wire between the two posts = 0 Ω = hard short. The wire will probably pop and break circuit hopefully before anything bad can happen, but still, not recommended. ETA: You want Kanthal for resistance wire, not silver.

    I have AW IMR 14500 there. I do try to keep it in the higher ohm (1.3-1.5Ω) Don't expect miracles for battery life, bring extras in a plastic box :)
