The REO Lounge - Part IV

That is a really good deal with the "Advanced" option. I had the plain jane option. However, my vision problems were not corrected (completely) by the cataract surgery, so I am having additional surgery. I have had one eye done and will have the second one done in June. The combination of both...

FDA to propose rule on ecigarettes Monday 4-28-2014

It is interesting to note that they will cover food colorings and flavorings. (Which, btw, are already FDA approved.) Flavorings are specifically mentioned, as they (apparently) will be on a rampage to eliminate flavored e-juice (for the children, you know).

    Reo / RM2 Questions

I have had to really watch my squonking so that I only squonk on a cold coil. Remember that once you take your finger off the fire button, the coil will continue to heat for a period of time (based on a lot of factors). Think of making pan sauce on an electric stove. You pour liquid into a hot...

The REO Lounge - Part IV

For me, I would purchase the WD external drive, and use rsync to mirror my online drive to the backup drive. Never have to worry about backups, since rsync does it automatically. ETA Right now, I am using rsync over scp to synchronize the files between multiple computers.

New LP REO Grand and LP RM2!!! Loving it!

When I have a throat burning issue, it is usually due to needing to squonk more (dry burning). However, I have changed my ratio to (at most) 30 pg but prefer about 20 pg. That helps, along with a max of 6mg nic. ETA: I have also found many e-liquids that cause the throat burning as well. I will...

Mechanical reos will be seeing some upgrades

Or Telephones. That is what I was told was the originator of that saying. (Western Electric, the company that made all the original phones.)

    PDIB's Making MODs!

Yes, that would be a really nice living. However, you need to add in a few things..... For example, Pdib has already stated that it costs ~$200 to retool. This retooling is a "disposables" cost, and would cover things like bits, saw blades, etc. It does not cover the cost of the drill presses...

The REO Lounge - Part IV

No, I mean use a different operating system, other than Winblows. Like OS-X or Linux. Not using Internet Exploder is a given.

    PDIB's Making MODs!

I have been making drip tips out of different materials and have an interesting perspective on the stabilized arena. I have had good results from the Stabilized woods and the type of tips that I make. I have found that the stabilized wood has a tendency to blow out (disintegrate) very easily...

Stainless steel cores for drip tips

I am having some made by a machinist here... He is due to finish up my samples soon (this week, I think). I am using the idea of the SS tube pressed into a base. I am having the total length made at 1.5 inches, and then cut the tube off to proper length based on the drip tip that I make. I have...

    PDIB's Making MODs!

I am the "other person" Peter referred to. In my case, one of my cats knocked it off the end table and onto a carpeted floor. I tried the standard professional CA, but found it too liquid and runny to work. I went to Lowe's and got the gel type. That worked. I applied a very thin coating of...

    a weird battery thing

That would explain why you would not see any voltage from the battery. There is a cutoff on that type of battery checker. (On my particular display, it is 2.8 volts. If the voltage of the battery is less than 2.8, it will not show anything.) That is why I use a real multi-meter for troubleshooting.

    PDIB's Making MODs!

Couple of things.... First off, the "battery rattle". With my mod, I notice that there is a slight rattle of the battery at the top of the mod. It is not that bad, or even noticeable really. I know that I could solve it with a small piece of tape on the battery, but will not bother, as it has...

As the title says, I have been Dibized! My OliverR arrived and it is so beautiful it knocks your socks off. In case you forgot from the preview, this is the Ambrosia Maple. The workmanship on this mod is beyond belief. If you look at the first two posts, you can see the hole left by...

Go to First New Post not working

Using Chrome browser on Linux.... I have found that if I am on the correct page for the last read post, it goes to the last read post properly. If, however, I am not on the proper page, it will simply go to the first post on the page that I am on. My work around is this.... I 'like' the first...

    DNA30 Bogger Box

The best I can tell you is GOOD LUCK! This vendor has ripped off many people (myself included), and has had his ECF vendor status removed. That is probably why you cannot link to him in this forum. Look for the many threads here on ECF that report how he ripped people off, as well as the...
