    PDIB's Making MODs!

I would be interested in this as well, depending on cost. I also like the ceramic deck on the RM2.

Stainless steel cores for drip tips

I actually prefer the dual o-ring. They seem to be more stable. I happen to be one who picks up my Reo Grand by the drip tip, so I need all the stability I can get. :)

Stainless steel cores for drip tips

My samples arrived yesterday. I must say I am impressed. They look very nice, and I love the dual o-ring cutouts. I will pass this on to the machinist that I am working with. It should be much more cost effective to use this method, rather than turning the entire insert.

    Tools for Vaping

The only additional item that I can add is a large heavy duty magnet. This is ideal for picking up small pieces (trim) of wire, as well as finding dropped atty screws/bolts. It is much easier to run the magnet over the floor to pick up the small pieces of wire than using the sole of your foot to...

    Road trip to REOville...

Borescoped, You will find that your NETs work so much better in a REO. Frequent dry burns are a piece of cake.

    Divo RBA

IIRC, the juice hole on the cyclone is above the deck slightly. This allows juice to remain in the atty after squonking. This juice will cook as it sits in the atty. Then when you squonk, and it draws excess juice back into the bottle, the juice that is drawn back is darker from having been...

Stainless steel cores for drip tips

There are a couple of reasons for SS cores. Both are valid and (to me) have equal weight. The first one I mention is stability/durability of the tip. Without the core, the drip tip is fragile at the point where it is coming out of the atty. At that point, the walls of the tip are very thin (how...

Stainless steel cores for drip tips

As a test, I ordered a couple of inserts from Pink Mule (in Spain). It is about a 2 week shipping time. I was not happy with what I received. The standard inserts are extremely short (~3/8") in my opinion. That means (for me) that the insert will only go up into the drip tip about 1/2 way...

    Alternatives to Big Cable

Our DirecTV mandatory subscription ends in April. I have purchased a Roku 3 device and have been testing it out. I do not (as yet) have anything paid on it, but will be adding Hulu and Amazon when I turn off cable. I have watched a lot of free stuff on it, and it operates nicely. I will be...

    Rebuildy kinda queries!

The Igo is all SS. So, if you have a problem with brass, go with the Igo.

    When to swap batteries?

I have a doohicky, and test my battery with it. The battery never leaves the mod. I simply pull down the door, put the black lead on a magnet, and the push the red lead in the slot where the nipple of the battery goes. Works all the time. Course, if you are using flat top batteries, I do not...

Try going to Hide My ...! Free Proxy and Privacy Tools - Surf The Web Anonymously and go through them to bring up reosmods.com. I went through a week when my ISP (Comcrap) would not route me to ECF. I had to go through the proxy to get to the forum. I never did figure out what went wrong, it was...

I was wrong about short tails

I use XC-132 and have found that short tails work best with that material as well.

    PDIB's Making MODs!

For rebuildables, I would recommend that you get a ReoMizer 2 (rm2). That is the easiest to rebuild. Note that a bottom feeder does not need tanks, the tank is built in.

    Helpful DIY ohm meter build

The easiest way to tell this is to put one lead of your ohm meter on the outside of the RBA, and then touch each terminal post. The one that reads 0 ohms is the negative.

The REO Lounge - Part III

The first problem with your recipe is that it uses oil. True cornbread uses LARD. There is something to be said for pork fat. As an aside, I happened to be at a Grist Mill a while ago. They had popcorn meal along with their corn meal. It is amazing how good cornbread is with popcorn meal. It is...
