I mean that there is more variety of flat top batteries available. So they are easier to get. For instance if you search for LG He2 18650 all of the results I find are flat top. Same with the Sony VTC. I understand that the button top is important for a mechanical reverse battery protection... -

This may not have anything to do with your issue but I have found that after 2-3 tanks usually the act of opening and closing the mouthpiece will sometimes cause my wick to no longer sit in the channels correctly and this causes flooding. Cappy the Caddy arrived today. It is awesome thank you!! Unfortunately due to a water pipe break I didn't have time to get pics of my other stands, but I was able to load her partially up and grab this pic.
