It could be a machining issue (just bad luck) but it could also be a bad o-ring. They aren't all created equal and have tolerances. It is possible you got one that is at the largest tolerance while getting a tube with the smallest tolerance and the 2 combined make it not screw all the way in... -

Yes you are right the o-ring will not stop it from dripping juice into the bottom tank section of the Ithaka only from flooding into whatever it is sitting on to a point. Meaning with the o-ring in place properly if juice flooded so much it filled that little area and the coil housing all the... -

As someone who doesn't over stock on parts and honestly hasn't had any of my normal parts go bad todays stock issue didn't effect me but I can say giving people some time to finish their shopping would probably be a good thing. You make a good point however o-rings on the derlin may help. Also it kinda depends on the threads. For example most of my GG isolater derlin pieces sit very tight and I normally have to use tools to get them off. Or I had another idea. Again sorry about the crude drawing it is not to scale... -

Also when you put in the assembly back the o-ring down the post a little so it isn't up against the brad nut part. If you have extras you could try an extra o-ring there as well. -

Yes that is an option but what if you are like me and really like the look and or feel of the GG mouthpiece. What I am thinking is one of 2 options. Option 1 a mouthpiece/control for Penelope V3/Ithaka update (and others possibly as well) But have the part that screws onto the coil housing... -

I wonder and I may be alone on this but I was wondering if it is possible for you Imeo to come up with a mouthpiece for either Ithaka or Penelope V3 and that doesn't get so hot? Maybe a derlin mouthpiece or even better yet a derlin core with SS outside? Or some other way to keep the mouthpiece... -
