    Yeah I figured out my problem turbo. Initially was very frustrated for quite a bit because I was trying to solder with a tip that was dirty therefore not transferring the heat well, if at all.     I found the complete opposite. Much more maintenance with the DE and Noa especially with my CC. I continually got the black spot on my contact using DE. Misfires from the cap not making good contact. Since using No ox id I hardly give a thought because I'm not dealing with it.... FDA BOC

    Thanks. I figured as much seeing some of the videos. Used a v5 and I'm not sure it's removable. Baked ceramic. I could totally be wrong too. Apparently torching could possibly cause the pin pop out. The set screw collar worked great. Got some at a local RC shop. I can always undo that easily...

    I haven't done it but, looks like a relatively easy install. Need to open up the opening on the delrin insert to allow for the larger head. Dremel or just same sized drill bit. NO OX ID will solve your your spark issues better than anything else. Posted a link a few pages back.... FDA BOC

    I set it to 133w for the picture. Then without adjusting back to my normal 40w took a puff.... Yikes! Only thing I don't like is the hastur v2 bottoms out on the FDV v5 BF. It leaves a space. That's annoying.... FDA BOC
