    Sorry. Should have stated that I was using a 3Ω Boge carto when I got these readings. 1.6A current draw (5v with a 3Ω carto)... Definitely a bad unit. Vaporheads wrote me back, but so far has not resolved my issue. I will withhold further comment and give them a chance to make it right. I...

    Update: I received it today and so far as it comes straight out of the box... It is unusable. I set it at 5v and unloaded it read 4.8v Loaded (using a 3Ω Boge) it was 3.7v WTF??? Bumped it up to 6v and unloaded it still read 4.8v, but loaded voltage was still only 4v. I emailed...

    I have and have reviewed the Lavatube, and should have the vision TOX on Monday. I will of course put it through the same scrutiny that I put the Lavatube through and report my findings. BTW, my 1st run lava didn't perform all that well either, so I'm not really expecting much from the TOX...

    You can't compare a single coil to a dual coil. Unless I'm missing something 15 watts on a DCC is 7.5 watts per coil (I assume they burn equally) so it stands to reason that it would take 15 watts to fire both coils correctly. I could be way off base, but that's what my logic is telling me.
